Bitnomial Launches First-Ever U.S.-Regulated Tezos (XTZ) Dollar Futures

  • As a result of the new contract, both retail and institutional traders now have access to a regulated environment for the discovery of XTZ prices and the management of risks.

Bitnomial, Inc. (“Bitnomial”), a derivatives exchange firm based in the United States that runs a designated contract market (DCM) that is regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), has published an announcement on the debut of its Tezos (XTZ) US Dollar futures on Bitnomial Exchange, LLC on February 4, 2026. These futures are the first-ever XTZ futures on a U.S. exchange. As a result of the new contract, both retail and institutional traders now have access to a regulated environment for the discovery of XTZ prices and the management of risks. Traders have the option of using either cryptocurrency or USD as margin to trade.

Tezos is a blockchain that will survive forever since it is open-source and self-upgrading. Because of its on-chain governance, stakeholders are able to offer protocol improvements without causing disruptive hard forks. This ensures that applications continue to function normally while the network continues to get more powerful and quicker. Tezos, the first proof-of-stake protocol, now provides a native data availability layer, rollups to scale serious applications, and an EVM layer with a latency of less than fifty milliseconds. Since 2018, Tezos has been responsible for the processing of hundreds of millions of transactions, which have a value of billions of dollars. These transactions have enabled tokenized finance, gaming, and digital ownership for a community that spans the whole world.

Bitnomial’s Crypto Complex®, which provides the most comprehensive exposure to digital asset derivatives in the United States in terms of the number of underlying assets that are accessible, has been expanded with the debut of XTZ futures. Delivery-settled contracts that are published on Bitnomial Exchange have the ability to be margined using digital assets, which brings about increased capital efficiency for traders in comparison to the conventional method of margining, which solely involves cash.

Bitnomial’s retail trading platform, Botanical, is already accepting orders for XTZ futures, making them available for trading today for both retail and institutional traders. The introduction of XTZ perpetual futures and options is something that Bitnomial intends to do in the future.

Each and every Bitnomial futures contract is made available by Bitnomial Exchange, LLC, and is governed by the terms that it establishes.

Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC)-regulated exchange (DCM), clearinghouse (DCO), and clearing brokerage (FCM) subsidiaries in the United States are owned and operated by Bitnomial, Inc., a derivatives exchange corporation with its headquarters in Chicago. Bitnomial is the first company to provide perpetuals, physical futures, and options on the Bitcoin Complex®, which includes Bitcoin and Hashrate, as well as the Crypto Complex®, which includes the first ever US futures for XRP, ADA, and USDC, among other assets.

BDACS Launches KRW1 Stablecoin Backed by the Won

The post BDACS Launches KRW1 Stablecoin Backed by the Won appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. BDACS Launches KRW1 Stablecoin Backed by South Korean Won Custody service provider BDACS has launched KRW1, a new stablecoin pegged 1:1 to the South Korean won (KRW). The regulated custodian focuses on institutional clients and offers services including crypto asset custody and transaction infrastructure supporting multiple blockchains. The KRW1 project recently completed its proof-of-concept (PoC) phase, with the stablecoin launching on the Avalanche blockchain. Each KRW1 token is fully backed by fiat currency, with reserves held at Woori Bank, one of South Korea’s largest financial institutions. Transparency and Platform Features BDACS emphasizes full transparency: holders can monitor reserves in real time via banking API integration, although no dedicated portal is currently available. According to the press release, “The KRW1 launch goes far beyond token issuance. BDACS has developed a comprehensive platform, including issuance and governance systems, as well as a user application supporting peer-to-peer transfers and transaction verification.” The stablecoin is positioned for global use, with potential expansion through new network integrations and collaborations with dollar-pegged stablecoins like USDC and USDT. BDACS also plans to integrate KRW1 into government initiatives, though negotiations or official involvement have not been confirmed. Current Status and Market Outlook KRW1 remains in the concept stage and is not yet publicly traded or available to retail consumers, as South Korea currently lacks a stablecoin framework. However, the launch is reportedly supported by the country’s new president, Lee Je-moon. In related news, Kakao is also reportedly considering a won-pegged stablecoin, highlighting growing interest in this emerging asset class.
