PANews reported on February 28th that, according to market sources, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) detected missiles launched towards Israel. Israeli mobile phone users received alerts indicating that missile launches had been detected. Iran's first batch of ballistic missiles has been launched towards Israel, reportedly a total of 30 missiles. The Israeli military stated that its defense systems are operational to intercept the threat.

An airstrike occurred at the port of Hormuz, Iran, possibly targeting Iranian naval forces.

According to Iranian state media, the Iranian port city of Bushehr was attacked. It is currently unclear whether the Bushehr nuclear power plant was damaged.
