BNB Chain Launches First Live ERC-8183 SDK for AI Agent Commerce

BNBAgent SDK brings ERC-8183 standard to testnet, enabling trustless AI agent transactions with built-in escrow and dispute resolution via UMA's oracle.

BNB Chain Launches First Live ERC-8183 SDK for AI Agent Commerce

BNB Chain has released BNBAgent SDK, claiming the first working implementation of the ERC-8183 standard that allows AI agents to transact autonomously using smart contract escrow and decentralized arbitration. The SDK is live on testnet now, with mainnet deployment planned.

The timing matters. Just one week ago, the Ethereum Foundation and Virtuals Protocol formally introduced ERC-8183 to address commercial trust issues between AI agents. BNB Chain has moved quickly to become the first chain with a functional developer toolkit built around the draft standard.

What ERC-8183 Actually Does

Think of ERC-8183 as a standardized contract template for AI-to-AI commerce. When one agent hires another for a task, the payment locks in on-chain escrow. An evaluator then verifies the result before funds release or refund automatically.

This differs fundamentally from simple token transfers. The standard encodes the entire transaction lifecycle: task specification, funding, delivery proof, and evaluator attestation. For autonomous systems handling real value, that verification layer becomes critical.

BNBAgent SDK packages this into a Python toolkit. Developers can register agents, manage job workflows, and interact with ERC-8183 contracts without writing low-level Solidity. The framework integrates ERC-8004 identity registries, giving each agent a persistent on-chain presence with trackable reputation.

Dispute Resolution Through UMA

The SDK extends ERC-8183 with UMA's Optimistic Oracle for handling contested outcomes. Undisputed jobs settle quickly. Challenged results escalate to UMA's Data Verification Mechanism, where token holders vote on resolution.

This removes the need for centralized arbitration—a significant consideration as AI agents begin handling tasks where outcomes are subjective or difficult to verify programmatically.

Client funds can be secured using supported tokens including BNB Chain's native stablecoin $U. Developers needing testnet tokens can request them through an upcoming Discord faucet.

Market Context

BNB currently trades at $673.26, down 0.32% over 24 hours, with a market cap of $91.8 billion. Recent data suggests BNB Chain has taken an early lead in AI agent deployment, reportedly surpassing Ethereum and Base in this specific vertical.

Separately, Myriad recently selected USD1 on BNB Chain as its exclusive settlement asset—another signal of the chain's push into AI-adjacent infrastructure.

The SDK remains in active development. Early builders will shape how the standard evolves before mainnet launch. Whether ERC-8183 becomes the dominant framework for agent commerce depends largely on developer adoption across multiple chains in the coming months.

The post Disney Pockets $2.2 Billion For Filming Outside America appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Disney has made $2.2 billion from filming productions like ‘Avengers: Endgame’ in the U.K. ©Marvel Studios 2018 Disney has been handed $2.2 billion by the government of the United Kingdom over the past 15 years in return for filming movies and streaming shows in the country according to analysis of more than 400 company filings Disney is believed to be the biggest single beneficiary of the Audio-Visual Expenditure Credit (AVEC) in the U.K. which gives studios a cash reimbursement of up to 25.5% of the money they spend there. The generous fiscal incentives have attracted all of the major Hollywood studios to the U.K. and the country has reeled in the returns from it. Data from the British Film Institute (BFI) shows that foreign studios contributed around 87% of the $2.2 billion (£1.6 billion) spent on making films in the U.K. last year. It is a 7.6% increase on the sum spent in 2019 and is in stark contrast to the picture in the United States. According to permit issuing office FilmLA, the number of on-location shooting days in Los Angeles fell 35.7% from 2019 to 2024 making it the second-least productive year since 1995 aside from 2020 when it was the height of the pandemic. The outlook hasn’t improved since then with FilmLA’s latest data showing that between April and June this year there was a 6.2% drop in shooting days on the same period a year ago. It followed a 22.4% decline in the first quarter with FilmLA noting that “each drop reflected the impact of global production cutbacks and California’s ongoing loss of work to rival territories.” The one-two punch of the pandemic followed by the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strikes put Hollywood on the ropes just as the U.K. began drafting a plan to improve its fiscal incentives…
