'What?' Nicolle Wallace blasts Tulsi Gabbard over curious edit to her own prepared remarks

MS NOW's Nicolle Wallace blasted a member of President Donald Trump's administration for her "shapeshifting" comments about the war in Iran on Wednesday.

The Trump administration has often claimed that its decision to bomb Iran in coordination with Israel last month was made because Iran's nuclear program posed an "imminent threat" to the United States. That explanation stands in stark contrast to Trump's claim that another bombing campaign the U.S. conducted in Iran last year had "completely obliterated" the country's nuclear capabilities.

On Wednesday, Trump's director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, appeared to skip over part of her prepared remarks that suggested Iran was not pursuing nuclear weapons following the 2025 strike. Wallace suggested that Gabbard may have done that to avoid contradicting the White House and Trump's claim from last week that Iran is two to four weeks away from having a nuclear weapon and using it on the U.S.

"What?" Wallace asked, as she read the remarks.

"She was running long and decided to edit out for length the part about where Iran was in its nuclear capabilities," she continued. "That's historic in its own right."

Wallace noted that Democrats on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee noticed Gabbard's omission as well.

"Gabbard admitted that even after weeks of airstrikes, Iran's regime remains intact if degraded," she said. "At other points, Team Trump's top intelligence officials struggled to explain what Donald Trump knew and had been told would happen if they struck Iran."
