Usage and Incentive Mechanism

Kaito’s incentive model revolves around "tokenized attention" through its YAPs system and the Kaito Connect platform.

• Kaito YAPs: This is a reputation and discovery mechanism that quantifies crypto-related content creation. YAPs are earned by sharing insights online. Kaito analyzes this content based on relevance, originality, and the strength of the creator’s social graph. While YAPs do not have direct financial value, they serve as a framework for protocols to identify Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and reward top creators.
• Kaito Connect: This product acts as an incentive layer on top of YAPs. It encourages users to produce insightful content while allowing protocols to direct attention to specific narratives.
• Yapper Launchpad: This mechanism aligns market forces by allowing brands and protocols to bid for audience attention. Creators produce content aligned with these bids, and users engage by voting on which brands should receive visibility.
• Kaito Pro: The core AI-driven platform aggregates data for subscribers, who use it to track sentiment, set real-time alerts, and research crypto developments.

Locking Mechanism and Unlocking Time

Kaito employs a combination of "cliffs" and monthly linear unlocks to manage the release of tokens into the circulating supply. The Token Generation Event (TGE) occurred on February 20, 2025.

Several categories saw immediate "cliff" unlocks at the TGE on February 20, 2025:

• Initial Community & Ecosystem: 100,000,000 tokens.

Future Vesting Schedule

Following the initial release, the remaining tokens are subject to various vesting periods:

• Ecosystem & Network Growth: After an initial small monthly release starting in August 2025, a larger monthly distribution of approximately 8,667,777 tokens begins on February 20, 2026, continuing through January 20, 2029.
• Core Contributors: This 25% allocation is subject to a one-year cliff, with monthly unlocks of approximately 6,944,444 tokens starting on February 20, 2026, and ending in January 20, 2029.
• Foundation: The remaining Foundation tokens unlock monthly at a rate of approximately 1,388,888 tokens starting February 20, 2026.
• Long-term Creator Incentives: These tokens are released in specific "cliff" events, with 4,950,000 tokens unlocking in August 2025 and another 4,950,000 in February 2026.
