UK’s first crypto tax report shows 240 people declared £717 million in capital gains
According to Bitcoin.com News, the UK government has released its first official statistics on taxable crypto-asset gains. In the 2024-25 tax year, 240 individuals each declared more than £1 million in capital gains, with a combined £717 million, accounting for more than half of the £1.38 billion in taxable gains reported by 17,600 people. HMRC sent 81,000 crypto tax letters over the past 12 months, up 25% from around 65,000, and estimates that its crypto compliance and education efforts generated an additional £168 million in capital gains tax during 2024-25. The UK also plans to adjust the tax treatment of certain DeFi transactions from April 6, 2027.
Five developer projects earned more than $500,000 over the past 30 days, with MetaMask leading at $1.415 million
According to HyperliquidNews, developer code revenue increased significantly over the past 30 days, with five projects generating more than $500,000. MetaMask ranked first with $1.415 million in revenue, followed by Phantom at $1.271 million, Trust Wallet at $989,000, invoxyz at $624,000, and fomo at $539,000. Official benchmarks show that mobile proof generation is more than 14 times faster, desktop performance is more than 5 times faster, Sinsemilla hashing is more than 21 times faster, trial decryption is over 1.5 times faster, and zk-SNARK verification is 4 to 8 times faster. The rapid increase in price and market capitalization reflects trading interest around the combination of tokenized equities and Meme assets, although low-cap assets of this type generally carry higher volatility and are more sensitive to liquidity, holder concentration, and short-term capital flows.
South Korean leveraged ETF activity plunges as retail investors reduce Samsung and SK Hynix exposure
According to newsis, trading activity in leveraged ETFs linked to Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix has fallen sharply after South Korea raised capital thresholds and introduced additional trading restrictions. Eight SK Hynix-related products recorded net selling of approximately KRW 1.2415 trillion, while eight Samsung Electronics-related products saw net selling of around KRW 531.6 billion. Five companies pass preliminary assessment as Vietnam pilots crypto market with $383 million minimum capital requirement
According to Odaily Planet Daily, Vietnam is piloting a crypto-asset market under a cautious regulatory framework, with five companies having already passed preliminary assessment for crypto exchange operations. Applicants must meet Level 4 security requirements and contribute at least VND 10 trillion, equivalent to approximately $383 million. Vietnam’s Resolution No. 05, issued in September 2025, states that crypto assets must be backed by RWAs, excluding securities and fiat currencies, and will initially be issued only to foreign investors. Decree No. 284, issued in July, will impose penalties on transactions conducted through unlicensed platforms starting September 1 and further regulate domestic investor access.
