Trump's unpopularity is crushing the GOP: analyst

On Sunday, Pat Ford, producer of "The David Parkman Show," argued President Donald Trump surrendered the Republican Party's traditional political advantage on tax policy due to his severe unpopularity.

According to a recent Fox News poll, Trump's approval rating among independent voters on tax policy dropped 58 points, a significant shift from his first term at the White House.

In a new reaction video, Ford characterized Trump's approval rating on taxes as "completely collapsing," noting this demonstrates broader administrative failures since tax policy typically represents Republican strength.

Ford continued, describing the Trump brand as "toxic" for voters, explaining that tax questions serve as a proxy for expressing overall displeasure with the administration.

He stated that voters are dissatisfied with Trump's handling of multiple issues, including the war, the economy, and the Epstein files.

"So, you say anything with Trump's name in the question, and they're [voters] going to react negatively to it," Ford said, "That's exactly how toxic and unpopular this guy is right now."
