A little less than a decade ago, Luke Combs introduced himself to the world with This One’s for You, his debut album. The project which dropped in the summer of 2017, immediately heralded the arrival of a new country music superstar, as the set produced multiple No. 1s in the genre.

As the singer-songwriter preps The Way I Am, his upcoming sixth album, for release in mid-March, the latest cut from the project debuts on multiple rankings in the U.S. while This One’s for You celebrates hitting a milestone Combs has never before experienced.

This One’s for You Hits Historic Career Milestone

As of this frame, This One’s for You has lived on a pair of Billboard charts for 450 weeks. The project can only be found on the Top Country Albums chart and the Billboard 200, which rank the most consumed country full-lengths and EPs and the most popular albums of any genre in the United States, respectively. This One’s for You is down several pegs on the two tallies, but its anniversary is nonetheless worth honoring.

This One’s for You is the first album by Combs to spend 450 weeks on either list. In fact, it’s the only one of his releases to crack 400 frames, although his follow-up, What You See Is What You Get, may eventually match that performance.

This One’s for You peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, which at the time, when it reached that high in the summer of 2018, a year after its debut, was a notable position for one of country’s newest figures. Two other sets, The Prequel EP and Gettin’ Old, also stalled in the same position. Combs topped the Billboard 200 for the first time with What You See Is What You Get, which ruled for two frames, while Growin’ Up, a companion piece to Gettin’ Old, missed the mark by just one spot.

Luke Combs’ History on Billboard’s Country Albums Chart

Unsurprisingly, Combs is far more successful on the Top Country Albums chart, and that’s certainly the case for This One’s for You. The full-length launched as high as a title can climb and wound up ruling for 50 frames, just under a full year.

What You See Is What You Get, Growin’ Up, and The Prequel also took turns running the show, with his sophomore full-length dominating for 37 stints, while his other leaders only managed one turn in the spotlight.

Three projects by Combs can be found on charts in the U.S. at the moment. Gettin’ Old is present on both the Billboard 200 and Top Country Albums chart, just like This One’s for You, while What You See Is What You Get only takes up space on the Top Country Albums list.

“Sleepless in a Hotel Room” Debuts High on Multiple Charts

It’s not all about what’s old when it comes to Combs on the charts this week. “Sleepless in a Hotel Room,” the latest single from his upcoming The Way I Am, launches on four rosters this frame. Combs collects a new top 10 on both the Country Streaming Songs and Streaming Songs rankings, where his newest offering opens at Nos. 3 and 10, respectively.

Combs collects his milestone twenty-fifth top 10 success on the Country Streaming Songs chart, and just his fifth on the all-genre Streaming Songs tally.

“Sleepless in a Hotel Room” also opens at No. 17 on the Hot 100, marking his fortieth smash to make a home on the most important songs ranking in America, and No. 53 on the Country Airplay chart.

Last week, “Sleepless in a Hotel Room” debuted at No. 35 on the Hot Country Songs chart, which details the most consumed country cuts throughout the nation. In just its second turn on the roster, Combs racks up a twenty-fifth top 10 smash, as “Sleepless in a Hotel Room” bounds from No. 35 to No. 4.

Coinbase Urges Treasury to Clarify GENIUS Act Implementation

The post Coinbase Urges Treasury to Clarify GENIUS Act Implementation appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Coinbase has called on the U.S. Treasury Department to provide clearer guidance on the implementation of the GENIUS Act, warning that excessive regulation could undermine innovation and weaken the country’s position as a global leader in digital finance. Source: Coinbase In an official statement, Coinbase’s Director of Policy, Faryar Shirzad, said that new rules should “ensure the competitiveness of U.S. stablecoins and create conditions for their global adoption as a payment instrument.” The exchange cautioned the Treasury against introducing restrictions not explicitly outlined in the law, urging policymakers to focus on innovation rather than limitation. Coinbase’s Recommendations for the GENIUS Framework In its response, Coinbase proposed several key adjustments to the regulatory framework. It suggested that non-financial software developers, blockchain validators, and open protocols be excluded from GENIUS compliance requirements. The company also argued that the ban on interest payments should apply only to stablecoin issuers, not to exchanges or intermediaries offering bonus programs or loyalty rewards. Coinbase emphasized that rewards from third parties should not be considered a violation, warning that a broad definition of “interest” could distort the intent of the legislation. The firm additionally proposed that payment stablecoins be treated as cash equivalents for accounting and tax purposes — a move it said would “reflect their real-world use as stable digital currencies.” The GENIUS Act and Its Impact Signed into law in July 2025, the GENIUS Act marked the first comprehensive federal regulation of the U.S. stablecoin market. The law requires that all stablecoins be fully backed by liquid assets, mandates annual audits for issuers, and sets rules for foreign-issued tokens operating in the U.S. market. Coinbase urged regulators to uphold Congress’s original intent, emphasizing that effective policy should allow innovation to grow within the framework of the law, not in defiance of it. Not all lawmakers…
