A Pennsylvania couple is facing charges after authorities said they beat a woman at a local bar, hurled racial slurs, and asserted, "This is a MAGA town."

York County couple Richard Willis Mitchell Jr., 62, and Sara Tresnak, 51, have been charged with misdemeanor ethnic intimidation, along with disorderly conduct and harassment charges stemming from the Jan. 10 incident at Hanover Eagles, according to reports.

According to court documents, the trouble began when the pair confronted a Baltimore woman about her hometown and her ethnicity. When she revealed her mixed heritage - her father is Black and Puerto Rican while her mother is Italian - things rapidly escalated, The Evening Sun reported. Mitchell allegedly declared, "Hanover is a redneck town" and that she "wasn't going to make it here."

An ensuing argument quickly turned violent.

Police said Mitchell grabbed the woman by her neck and forced her to the ground while Tresnak beat her. During the attack, Mitchell hurled racial slurs at the woman, including the N-word, telling her she "didn't belong here," to "go back to pig town," and that "this is a MAGA town."

Club patrons intervened to stop the beating. When police arrived, they documented extensive injuries on the victim, including bruises around her eye and arm, along with scrapes and abrasions consistent with her account. Multiple witnesses corroborated her story.

The couple later admitted to an altercation but claimed the victim attacked them first. The duo are expected back in court Feb. 17.
