Alphabet

Alphabet is Google plus everything Google's profits pay for. Search advertising remains one of the best businesses ever constructed, and the cash it produces funds YouTube, a top-tier cloud platform, frontier AI research, self-driving cars and a drawer of moonshots — while the market debates whether AI is the empire's next engine or the first real threat to its core. This hub collects MEXC Learn's Alphabet coverage. The coverage splits three ways. The business. How search monetisation actually works and why its margins are extraordinary; YouTube as the world's largest video and second-largest search platform; Google Cloud's climb to profitability; and the Other Bets, where Waymo has graduated from moonshot to operating robotaxi business. Articles here map where the money is made versus where it is spent. The stock. Alphabet trades on one question with many faces: does AI expand or erode the search franchise? Every earnings cycle scores ad growth, cloud momentum, AI product traction and the capital expenditure funding it all — against a steady backdrop of antitrust pressure in multiple jurisdictions. This track covers the debate's actual scoreboard, plus the share-class structure that gives the stock two tickers. The crypto thread. Alphabet touches this site's world at two odd angles: its quantum-computing milestones periodically reignite the "can quantum break Bitcoin" debate, and its platforms set advertising and app rules that shape crypto's reach. Both covered factually, hype withheld.

Alphabet FAQ

It is the holding company for Google — search, YouTube, Android, Chrome, Maps and the ad systems that monetise them — plus Google Cloud, and the Other Bets like Waymo's robotaxis. The economics are simple at the core: search and YouTube advertising generate extraordinary profit, cloud has grown into a real second engine, and everything else spends the surplus hunting the next one.

Both, genuinely, which is why the stock argues. The threat: AI assistants answer questions directly, and every answered question is a search that never happened — an attack on the core monetisation loop. The opportunity: Alphabet owns frontier models, the data, the distribution of billions of users, and a cloud business selling AI to everyone else. The scoreboard to watch is whether search revenue keeps growing while AI features roll through it. So far the empire has held; "so far" is doing real work.

Four standing items. AI disruption of the search economics, per Q2. Antitrust: Alphabet faces active competition cases across major jurisdictions, with remedies that could touch defaults, distribution deals or structure. Advertising cyclicality — the core rides the ad market's swings. And the cost of the AI arms race itself: capital expenditure at historic scale, spent in defence and offence at once. Against them: distribution, data and a balance sheet few rivals match.

Same company, different voting rights. GOOGL is Class A stock — one vote per share. GOOG is Class C — no votes. A Class B tier with ten votes per share, unlisted, keeps the founders in control regardless of what public holders do — which is why, for practical purposes, the vote attached to GOOGL is symbolic. The two tickers track each other closely, with tiny spreads traders occasionally watch. For most investors the choice is immaterial; knowing why is the point.

The primary route is RealStocks: eligible users buy actual Alphabet shares through MEXC's licensed brokerage partner. Purchases fund in USDT, converting to dollars one-to-one for settlement, orders execute during US market hours, and Alphabet's dividend — initiated in 2024 — flows to holders where paid. Note the two-ticker structure in Q4 and confirm which class you are buying. Alongside RealStocks sit tokenized exposure trading around the clock and USDT-settled stock futures for leveraged long or short positions. Availability differs by jurisdiction — check your eligibility in the app.
