Ethereum is the blockchain most of crypto is actually built on. Bitcoin stores value;
Ethereum runs code — the smart contracts behind DeFi, stablecoins, NFTs, and the
majority of tokens trading today. This hub collects MEXC Learn's Ethereum coverage,

New to ETH? Start with how Ethereum differs from Bitcoin, what Ether is actually used

Network and technology. Ethereum stopped being a mined chain in September 2022, when
The Merge replaced miners with validators staking ETH. Later upgrades kept reshaping
the economics — Dencun, in March 2024, introduced blob storage and cut Layer 2
transaction costs sharply. Articles here cover proof of stake, ETH 2.0 terminology,
rollups, and what each upgrade changed in practice.

DeFi and applications. Ethereum settles trades on decentralized exchanges, collateral
in lending markets, and the liquid restaking products built on top of both. This track
explains how those mechanisms work rather than just naming them.

Markets and institutional access. US spot Ethereum ETFs began trading in July 2024,
opening ETH exposure to investors who will never touch a wallet. Coverage here tracks

Every guide is written for readers who want the mechanism, not just the headline.

Everyone starts somewhere, and crypto is unusually unforgiving of guessing. A transfer
sent to the wrong address cannot be recalled. A leveraged position can close itself
while you sleep. This hub collects MEXC Learn's beginner material in the order it is
actually useful, rather than the order it was published.

First, the vocabulary. What a blockchain actually records, what a wallet holds, and why
a private key is nothing like a password. Skipping this makes everything after it
harder than it needs to be.

Second, custody and security. Where your assets sit when they are on an exchange versus
in your own wallet, what identity verification is for, and how to recognise the scams
that specifically target new accounts. This stage prevents more losses than any trading
skill will.

Third, your first trade. Funding an account, what a spot order does, reading a price
chart well enough not to be misled by one, and deciding how much to start with. The
honest answer to that last question is: an amount whose total loss would change nothing
about your month.

Fourth, what to leave alone for now. Leverage, futures and high-yield offers are not
