Epstein survivors unload on Pam Bondi after Trump gives her he boot

Survivors of Jeffrey Epstein excoriated former Attorney General Pam Bondi after she was fired by President Donald Trump on Thursday.

Trump relieved Bondi of her duties in a post on Truth Social, ending weeks of speculation about which of Trump's Cabinet members would be excused from the administration following the departure of Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. Bondi had faced significant criticism for her handling of the release of the Epstein files.

Nineteen survivors of Epstein's crimes released a statement following Bondi's firing, saying that the former Attorney General had "failed" them.

"Under her leadership, the Department of Justice mishandled the release of the Epstein Files, leaving millions of pages withheld from the public while serious redaction errors exposed survivors' identities," the statement reads in part. "These failures put survivors at risk, eroded trust, and compounded the trauma we have lived with for years."

"Accountability should not depend on power, position, or influence," it added.
