Trump attacks the architectural historian behind the ballroom lawsuit

President Donald Trump attacked architectural historian Alison K. Hoagland after U.S. District Court Judge Richard Leon blocked above-ground construction on Trump's planned White House ballroom.

Judge Leon, a George W. Bush appointee, issued an opinion and order Thursday blocking government officials from proceeding with the ballroom's above-ground portions.

Trump responded on Truth Social, claiming no president "can ever be safe" without the ballroom. He later returned to the platform to attack Hoagland, characterizing her lawsuit as "meritless and lawless" and claiming she has "absolutely NO STANDING" to bring the case.

Trump criticized Judge Leon's opinion as "radically different" from his earlier ruling and described it as "unlawful and ambiguous."

He argued political commentators have called the case a "joke" and expressed frustration with judicial rulings against him, stating he has "gotten very used to" such decisions but will "not accept" them.
