Before the arrival of her hugely popular single “Choosin’ Texas,” Ella Langley was already one of the hottest new stars in country music. Earlier this year, she made history when “Choosin’ Texas” rocketed to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, where it has largely remained ever since.

This week, Langley also debuts at No. 1 on several of Billboard’s albums rosters with her sophomore full-length Dandelion. Powered in a big way by “Choosin’ Texas,” the project has become a breakout smash, and nearly every tune on its track list lands on this week’s Hot Country Songs chart.

The singer-songwriter beats one of the most successful women in music history with her deluge of country cuts, as she all but dominates the list of the most-consumed tracks in that genre in America.

Ella Langley’s Dandelion Dominates With 17 Country Hits

Langley fills 17 spaces on the current edition of the Hot Country Songs chart. That roundup is made up almost entirely of tunes featured on Dandelion, as well as “Girl You’re Taking Home,” a holdover from her previous era. That single slips to No. 39 and stands out as her lowest-settling track at the moment.

Ella Langley Passes Beyoncé’s Country Chart Record

Langley is now responsible for the fourth most impressive week for a female artist on the Hot Country Songs chart in terms of total number of slots owned. She passes Beyoncé’s showing, as the superstar, who is not typically associated with country music, invaded the Hot Country Songs chart with 16 tracks the week that her full-length Cowboy Carter arrived.

Taylor Swift’s Fearless (Taylor’s Version) Leads All-Time

The only three chart weeks in which a woman has filled more spots than Langley all belong to Taylor Swift, according to Billboard. She scored one of her most impressive demonstrations of power in 2021 with Fearless (Taylor’s Version), which sent 18 cuts to the tally. Later that year, Red (Taylor’s Version) improved upon her own display when 21 different songs landed on the list. Swift once again beat her own record less than two years later with Speak Now (Taylor’s Version). That album, one of multiple re-recordings now included in her discography, was responsible for 22 of the 50 biggest country tracks in America for one frame.

Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem Owns a Massive Record

Billboard reports that while women like Langley, Beyoncé, and Swift have been making incredible inroads for female artists on the Hot Country Songs chart, the roster remains, as it always has been, a boys’ club. Morgan Wallen holds the all-time record for the most smashes on the tally at one time. His lengthy album I’m the Problem features 37 tunes, and at one point, all but one of them settled onto the chart. He has reportedly scored at least 30 appearances on the list in several different tracking weeks.

Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” Leads Her Top 10 Streak

Counted among Langley’s 17 current hits on the Hot Country Songs chart are five top 10s. That means the rising talent claims half of the entire uppermost region. “Choosin’ Texas” leads the charge once more, scoring its twenty-first stay at the summit as of this period. “Choosin’ Texas” ties with “10,000 Hours” by Dan + Shay and Justin Bieber as the eighth-longest-running leader of all time.

Langley’s “Be Your Hero” is comfortable at No. 2 yet again, held back by the unstoppable “Choosin’ Texas.” Langley’s “Loving Life Again” improves to No. 5 – a new peak – while “Dandelion,” the set’s title track, nearly finds its way back to its all-time high of No. 8, missing out on doing so by just one rung. “Bottom of Your Boots” is the only cut by the musician to debut inside the top 10 this week, and it gets off to a No. 4 opening.

According to Billboard, only 10 artists have landed 10 or more hits on the Hot Country Songs chart at one time. Langley becomes only the fourth woman, following Swift, Beyoncé, and Megan Moroney, who accomplished the feat just a few weeks ago. They are joined by Luke Bryan, Wallen, Luke Combs, Post Malone, and Thomas Rhett.
