Trump admin employee charged with threatening president's life: 'You decided to kill kids'

FAA employee Dean DelleChiaie, 35, has been charged "for interstate communication of a threat" to kill President Donald Trump.

In a press release on Tuesday, the Department of Justice said DelleChiaie "conducted various internet searches on his government work computer in late January, like how to get a gun into a federal facility, previous assassination attempts against the President, the percentage of the population that wants the President dead."

He also searched for the phrase "I am going to kill Donald John Trump," according to the DOJ.

DelleChiaie was accused of sending a threatening email to the White House in April.

"I, Dean DelleChiaie, am going neutralize/kill you - Donald John Trump - because you decided to kill kids - and say that it was War - when in reality - it is terrorism," the email allegedly stated. "God knows your actions and where you belong."

Interstate communication of a threat to kill a president carries a punishment of up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

DelleChiaie was arrested on Monday before a Tuesday preliminary hearing. The Nashua Police Department in New Hampshire assisted the Secret Service in the investigation.
