JOHOR BAHRU: Barisan Nasional will contest the Johor and Negeri Sembilan state elections using its “dacing” logo, its secretary-general, Zambry Abd Kadir, said last night.
This was among five main decisions reached at the BN annual meeting at the Johor Umno office.
“The Johor and Negeri Sembilan state elections are BN’s main focus, and all party machinery will be mobilised completely to ensure victory,” he said in a statement.
Zambry also reiterated that BN would remain steadfast in support of the federal unity government until the end of its term.
He said the party’s commitment was vital for the country’s political stability, to maintain foreign investor confidence, and to ensure the continuity of the economic development agenda for the people’s well-being.
The Johor state election will be held on July 11, and the Negeri Sembilan polls on Aug 1.
