The 2025 World Series, otherwise known as the Fall Classic to baseball enthusiasts for its timing in the seasonal calendar, begins this weekend as the Dodgers vs. Blue Jays play at the Rogers Center in Toronto.

Los Angeles, which swept the Milwaukee Brewers 4-0 to advance to the World Series, are the defending MLB champions — the franchise beat the New York Yankees 4-1 in 2024 to claim its eighth World Series crown.
Meanwhile, Toronto went 21 consecutive seasons without a playoff appearance after securing back-to-back titles in 1992-93. The Blue Jays are the first and only MLB team outside of the U.S. to appear in the World Series.
The Dodgers, which are the second most valuable MLB franchise at $6.6 billion according to a Forbes analysis, are currently the favorites (-230) to win the title, according to the most recent FanDuel Sportsbook betting odds.
Los Angeles superstar Shohei Ohtani — who is among the top 10 highest-paid athletes in the world per Forbes — is the favorite (+165) to claim MVP World Series honors. Toronto sluggers Vladimir Guerrero, Jr. (+600) and George Springer (+1000), who has 23 home runs and 47 RBI in his postseason career, follow at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, per FanDuel’s betting odds as of presstime.
Where Can I Watch Dodgers Vs. Blue Jays World Series ?
Games 1-2 will be Friday and Saturday, respectively, before both teams head to Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium for Games 3-5 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. If an extended World Series is necessary, the teams will return to Toronto on Halloween for Game 6, while Game 7 will be next Saturday.
All games in the best-of-seven series will air at 8 p.m. ET on Fox in the United States. Play-by-play caller Joe Davis and analyst John Smoltz will be in the broadcast booth, while Ken Rosenthal and Tom Verducci will serve as the on-field reporters. Tom Rinaldi will be the features reporter. For Fox Deportes, Adrian Garcia-Marquez will be the play-by-play caller with analyst Edgar Gonzalez.
In Canada, Sportsnet TV and Radio will cover the World Series, featuring Dan Shulman (play-by-play caller) and Buck Martinez (analyst) in the booth. In addition, ESPN Radio will carry live national radio coverage of the Fall Classic in English, and Univision Radio will broadcast the games in Spanish.
This year’s World Series between the Dodgers vs. Blue Jays will air in 200-plus countries and 16 languages around the world.
