Anthropic has announced the introduction of plugin support for its Claude Code platform, a move set to revolutionize how users interact with the software. This new feature allows users to install custom collections of slash commands, agents, MCP servers, and hooks with a single command, according to Anthropic.

Enhancing User Experience with Plugins

Plugins provide a lightweight solution for packaging and sharing various functionalities within Claude Code. Users can leverage these plugins to create custom shortcuts, install specialized agents, connect to tools and data sources, and tailor the software’s behavior at critical workflow points. The introduction of plugins is part of a broader strategy to make Claude Code more versatile and user-friendly.

With the public beta release, users can easily install plugins directly through the /plugin command. This feature allows for dynamic toggling of plugins, enabling users to activate specific capabilities as needed and minimize complexity when they are not required.

Practical Applications and Benefits

Plugins have a wide range of applications, from enforcing engineering standards to supporting open-source project users. They enable developers to share productivity-enhancing workflows, connect internal tools seamlessly, and bundle multiple customizations for specific use cases. This flexibility makes it easier for teams to maintain consistency and efficiency across their development processes.

Creating and Sharing Plugin Marketplaces

Anthropic encourages the creation of plugin marketplaces, allowing developers to host and share plugins with the community. These marketplaces serve as curated collections of plugins that can be easily discovered and installed by other developers. Hosting a marketplace requires a git repository, GitHub repository, or URL with a properly formatted .claude-plugin/marketplace.json file.

Users can add a marketplace using the /plugin marketplace add user-or-org/repo-name command and browse available plugins through the /plugin menu. This system amplifies community-driven best practices and innovations.

Community Initiatives and Examples

Community members are already leading the way in utilizing plugin marketplaces. Engineer Dan Ávila, for instance, offers plugins for various development tasks, including DevOps automation and project management. Similarly, Seth Hobson has curated a collection of over 80 specialized sub-agents available on his GitHub repository, enhancing developers’ access to ready-to-use solutions.

Getting Started with Plugins

Plugins are now available in public beta for all Claude Code users. They can be installed using the /plugin command across different platforms, including terminals and VS Code. Detailed documentation is available to guide users in getting started, building their plugins, and publishing marketplaces.

This enhancement underscores Anthropic’s commitment to fostering a collaborative and innovative development environment, encouraging users to explore and contribute to the growing ecosystem of Claude Code plugins.

A Netflix ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Short Film Has Been Rated For Release

The post A Netflix ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Short Film Has Been Rated For Release appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. KPop Demon Hunters Netflix Everyone has wondered what may be the next step for KPop Demon Hunters as an IP, given its record-breaking success on Netflix. Now, the answer may be something exactly no one predicted. According to a new filing with the MPA, something called Debut: A KPop Demon Hunters Story has been rated PG by the ratings body. It’s listed alongside some other films, and this is obviously something that has not been publicly announced. A short film could be well, very short, a few minutes, and likely no more than ten. Even that might be pushing it. Using say, Pixar shorts as a reference, most are between 4 and 8 minutes. The original movie is an hour and 36 minutes. The “Debut” in the title indicates some sort of flashback, perhaps to when HUNTR/X first arrived on the scene before they blew up. Previously, director Maggie Kang has commented about how there were more backstory components that were supposed to be in the film that were cut, but hinted those could be explored in a sequel. But perhaps some may be put into a short here. I very much doubt those scenes were fully produced and simply cut, but perhaps they were finished up for this short film here. When would Debut: KPop Demon Hunters theoretically arrive? I’m not sure the other films on the list are much help. Dead of Winter is out in less than two weeks. Mother Mary does not have a release date. Ne Zha 2 came out earlier this year. I’ve only seen news stories saying The Perfect Gamble was supposed to come out in Q1 2025, but I’ve seen no evidence that it actually has. KPop Demon Hunters Netflix It could be sooner rather than later as Netflix looks to capitalize…
