  • The Graph launches Token API support for TRON, boosting developer efficiency.
  • Developers gain instant access to pre-indexed blockchain data for faster builds.
  • Integration strengthens TRON’s data infrastructure for large-scale applications.

The Graph has expanded its role within the TRON ecosystem by introducing Token API support, giving developers direct access to pre-indexed blockchain data. This rollout follows the earlier launch of TRON Substreams, which brought The Graph’s streaming technology to the network earlier this year.

Together, these tools create a faster and more reliable development environment for builders working across TRON’s rapidly growing landscape.

With the Token API launched and functional on TRON, developers are able to extract essential information related to the transactions and operations occurring within the TRON network without having the burden of constructing a brand new infrastructural framework.

The token API is equipped with pre-built functions and interfaces related to balances, token prices, token swaps, and DEX operations for the platforms of JustSwap, SunSwap, and SunPump.

New Tools Strengthen TRON’s Developer Infrastructure

The introduction of the Token API also provides a good supplement to the earlier Substreams integration, ensuring that the long-standing data issues are addressed through a two-way solution. Teams that utilize various applications often take several weeks to handle the indexing system, but The Graph’s help terminates such practices.

This development is well-received by the leaders of both The Graph Foundation and TRON DAO. They appreciated the fact that the integration makes it possible for enterprises and institutions to address the required compliance through the use of data modules on-premise. This also provides TRON developers a solid foundation to build and deploy complex applications into production.

Enhanced Modules Push the Boundaries of TRON Applications

Though Token API provides standard workload capabilities, Substreams enable more customization possibilities. The recently introduced TRON-enabled modules and Foundational Stores enable developers to customize the balance, price, swap, and transaction information imported into a system.

Institutions operating within a regulated environment also find on-premise Substreams useful. They can modify the public modules available to enable compliance checks within the institution and retain the necessary audit trail. This is useful within a payment system that has high transaction volumes and extensive regulation.

Integration Aligns With TRON’s Rapid Ecosystem Growth

TRON remains operational at a very large scale, and within its environment, the data infrastructure is required to be strong to enable sustained growth. The resolution offered through the integration of The Graph meets the required need and provides developers with tested and production-level solutions regardless of whether the project involves using the Token API for a DeFi project build or Substreams for complex architectures.

Documentation and modules are publicly accessible, and the original team of The Graph intends to improve the token and DEX dataset scope going forward. With the TRON network’s advancement, The Graph reinforces the TRON network by allowing developers to concentrate on building apps instead of pipelines.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…
