Take a quick scroll through your #FYP and you’ll probably notice a shift: more Filipinos wish to study abroad. Those who’ve granted this wish for themselves would usually feature a supercut of their lives, revolving around their university’s well-built facilities, rich campus life, and seemingly limitless opportunities. To many of us, though, this remains a pipe dream – a mere video we can only double-tap for others.

Dreaming of acquiring a globally competitive education can be costly, and not everyone has the same privilege. However, that doesn’t mean it’s completely impossible. What if you can get this world-class standard of education without leaving the Philippines?

Good news: Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna’s collaboration with Arizona State University can help propel you to your seemingly overwhelming goals. The Cabuyao-based research-driven institution and acclaimed public university for innovation coming together means equipping Filipinos with the global advantage to thrive, thanks to its internationally benchmarked programs: The E.T. Yuchengco College of Business, College of Health Sciences, and College of Nursing.

Through this collaboration, Mapúa MCL students will be able to access globally recognized tools, digital-first teaching methods, and co-lectured courses, making them ready to face the challenges of local and global industries.

While deciding on a program that fits you can be a little tricky, it can be easy to narrow down your choices by focusing on your pressure-free and fun outlet for expression: hobbies. We may not always notice it, but the things we intentionally make time for and genuinely care about can also clue us in on an ideal field to pursue. Imagine building a career out of something you naturally gravitate towards?

So, is it possible to discover your maximum potential through your hobbies? Take this quiz to find out.

Fed forecasts only one rate cut in 2026, a more conservative outlook than expected

The post Fed forecasts only one rate cut in 2026, a more conservative outlook than expected appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Chip Somodevilla | Getty Images The Federal Reserve is projecting only one rate cut in 2026, fewer than expected, according to its median projection. The central bank’s so-called dot plot, which shows 19 individual members’ expectations anonymously, indicated a median estimate of 3.4% for the federal funds rate at the end of 2026. That compares to a median estimate of 3.6% for the end of this year following two expected cuts on top of Wednesday’s reduction. A single quarter-point reduction next year is significantly more conservative than current market pricing. Traders are currently pricing in at two to three more rate cuts next year, according to the CME Group’s FedWatch tool, updated shortly after the decision. The gauge uses prices on 30-day fed funds futures contracts to determine market-implied odds for rate moves. Three officials penciled in three rate reductions next year. “Next year’s dot plot is a mosaic of different perspectives and is an accurate reflection of a confusing economic outlook, muddied by labor supply shifts, data measurement concerns, and government policy upheaval and uncertainty,” said Seema Shah, chief global strategist at Principal Asset Management. The central bank has two policy meetings left for the year, one in October and one in December. Economic projections from the Fed saw slightly faster economic growth in 2026 than was projected in June, while the outlook for inflation was updated modestly higher for next year. There’s a lot of uncertainty…
