PANews reported on January 8th that, according to CoinDesk, the digital asset advocacy organization "Stand With Crypto" added 675,000 new online members last year, bringing its total membership in the United States to approximately 2.6 million as the 2026 US congressional elections approach. A report shows that the organization has been organizing members to participate in political letter-writing activities to support cryptocurrency legislation in the United States, with a total of 925,000 such letters expected by 2025, and over 1 million letters sent since its inception. The organization stated that it currently has chapters in every state in the US and has organized four "fly-in" events to Washington, D.C., directly participating in policy-making.
Coinbase founded the "Cryptocurrency Support Coalition" in 2023 and funded its initial activities. The company remains a partner and donor to the organization, which also benefits from donations from other companies and members such as Kraken, Gemini, Anchorage Digital, and Paradigm. Polls over the past few years have shown that since the organization's inception, American voters have increasingly viewed cryptocurrency as a significant political issue influencing their opinions of candidates.
