Landman Season 2’s finale is now streaming on Paramount+. If you’ve finished the latest episode and are ready for the next chapter of Tommy’s story — and his new company, CTT Oil Exploration and Cattle — keep reading for the latest updates on Season 3, including when new episodes could arrive.

Co-created by Yellowstone’s Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, Season 2 picks up in the aftermath of M-Tex Oil founder Monty Miller’s death. Tommy Norris and Monty’s wife, Cami, attempt to run the company together, but the transition proves difficult throughout the season as they clash over how the business should operate.

The penultimate episode saw Cami fire Tommy as president of M-Tex after he voiced his disapproval of the company’s risky offshore gas drilling operation, which he claimed was not worth the investment. She lets him go at the launch party after getting a taste of the high-stakes oil business that made her late husband a “fortune.”

Yes! Landman was renewed for a third season in December 2025, just weeks after the Season 2 premiere.

Paramount+ revealed in the announcement that the Season 2 premiere became the most-watched premiere for any original series on Paramount+. The episode drew 9.2 million streaming views in its first two days on the service, a 262% increase from the Season 1 premiere.

Questions were swirling around Landman’s future after Sheridan inked a five-year deal with NBCUniversal, but sources told Deadline in October 2025 that the agreement does not begin until 2029, though it will take effect earlier for films.

When asked how Sheridan’s move will impact the show, showrunner Christian Wallace told Screen Rant that Landman has “a lot of runway” and that nothing is changing — at least for the time being.

“That contract is not ending anytime soon, and so we’re just going to keep doing exactly what we’ve been doing,” he explained. “Nothing at all has changed, so that’s for a future person to worry about.

Warning: Spoilers ahead for Landman Season 2 finale.

In Season 2, Episode 10, “Tragedy and Flies,” Tommy is readjusting to life outside M-Tex, while his daughter, Ainsley, navigates college during a week-long cheerleading camp at TCU. After initially not wanting to live with her non-binary roommate, Paigyn, she has a change of heart. She defends Paigyn from a group of homophobic teenage boys who start making fun of them. Ainsley later tells her mother she wants try dorm life again.

Meanwhile, Cooper finds himself in serious trouble after saving Ariana from a sexual assault, an act that led him to brutally beat the attacker, Jonathan Reasner, who later died. The entire incident was caught on camera, and police brought in Cooper for questioning, pointing out that after punching the man 17 times in the face, he was “no longer a threat.”

When Tommy gets involved, he approaches the chief of police. Tommy points out that Reasner died from a heart attack at the hospital, not directly from the attack itself. He also reiterates that the real threat was the one Reasner posed to Ariana. Tommy’s influence with the police works, and the authories don’t press charges against Cooper after all.

As for Tommy, he makes a major career move after his firing, deciding to launch his own company, CTT Oil Exploration and Cattle (with CTT named after Cooper, Tommy, and Thomas). He even convinces cartel boss Gallino to leave M-Tex and join the venture as an equal partner.

With the company in motion, the team locks in its new roles. Cooper is named president, Tommy becomes senior vice president, Nate is appointed treasurer and Rebecca takes on the dual role of chief operating officer and chief counsel. Dale is appointed head of exploration, Boss becomes crew chief and T.L. oversees drilling operations. Ariana is also offered a job managing the office, so she doesn’t have to return to the bar.

Paramount+ hasn’t set a release date for Landman Season 3 yet, and it’s likely fans won’t get an update until later this summer. (The streamer officially announced Season 2’s premiere date in August 2025.)

As for when Season 3 could arrive, the show’s previous release pattern offers some clues. Season 2 premiered on Paramount+ on Nov. 16, 2025, nearly a year after the series debuted on Nov. 17, 2024.

If that timeline repeats, Landman Season 3 would likely arrive in November 2026 or sometime in the fourth quarter of this year. Stay tuned for more details.

Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC

The post Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson has weighed in on whether the Federal Reserve should make a 25 basis points (bps) Fed rate cut or 50 bps cut. This comes ahead of the Fed decision today at today’s FOMC meeting, with the market pricing in a 25 bps cut. Bitcoin and the broader crypto market are currently trading flat ahead of the rate cut decision. Franklin Templeton CEO Weighs In On Potential FOMC Decision In a CNBC interview, Jenny Johnson said that she expects the Fed to make a 25 bps cut today instead of a 50 bps cut. She acknowledged the jobs data, which suggested that the labor market is weakening. However, she noted that this data is backward-looking, indicating that it doesn’t show the current state of the economy. She alluded to the wage growth, which she remarked is an indication of a robust labor market. She added that retail sales are up and that consumers are still spending, despite inflation being sticky at 3%, which makes a case for why the FOMC should opt against a 50-basis-point Fed rate cut. In line with this, the Franklin Templeton CEO said that she would go with a 25 bps rate cut if she were Jerome Powell. She remarked that the Fed still has the October and December FOMC meetings to make further cuts if the incoming data warrants it. Johnson also asserted that the data show a robust economy. However, she noted that there can’t be an argument for no Fed rate cut since Powell already signaled at Jackson Hole that they were likely to lower interest rates at this meeting due to concerns over a weakening labor market. Notably, her comment comes as experts argue for both sides on why the Fed should make a 25 bps cut or…
