Greenland 2: Migration, the post-apocalyptic survival sequel to the 2020 sleeper hit Greenland, is now available on digital platforms such as Prime Video and Apple TV after premiering in theaters earlier this month.

Directed again by Ric Roman Waugh, the film picks up five years after the Clarke interstellar comet strikes Earth. Gerard Butler and Morena Baccarin reprise their roles as husband-and-wife duo John and Allison Garrity, who are forced to flee their bunker after it becomes inhospitable, along with their now-teenage son, Nathan (Roman Griffin Davis).

“In the aftermath of a comet strike that decimated most of the planet, the Garrity family must leave the safety of their Greenland bunker to traverse a shattered world in search of a new home,” the official synopsis reads.

The sequel premiered in theaters in early January and flopped at the box office, earning $21 million worldwide against a reported budget of $90 million. While Greenland 2 didn’t perform well in theaters, it may fare better with audiences now that it’s available to watch at home — much like the original film, which found its success during the COVID-19 era on digital video-on-demand and later on HBO Max in 2021.

Here’s everything you need to know about watching Greenland 2: Migration at home, including digital release details and when the film could land on Starz and Prime Video.

Following its digital release on Jan. 27, Greenland 2: Migration will first be available on Starz before eventually streaming on Prime Video. In January 2025, Starz renewed its agreement with Lionsgate, under which the platform receives exclusive first-pay TV and SVOD window rights to the studio’s films.

After Starz’s exclusive first-run window ends, the film will then stream on Prime Video, which also signed a multiyear theatrical output agreement with Lionsgate last year, according to Variety.

When Will Greenland 2: Migration Be Available to Stream On Starz And Prime Video?

Lionsgate has not yet announced when Greenland 2: Migration will be available to stream on Starz and Prime Video. The film premiered in theaters on Jan. 9 and had a quick digital release on Jan. 26, meaning it could land on Starz within the next few months, followed by a Prime Video debut sometime after.

In a press release, Starz has teased that Lionsgate’s 2026 theatrical releases will arrive on the platform “on an accelerated basis closer to their initial theatrical release,” suggesting fans may not have to wait long.

Starz teased that Lionsgate 2026’s theatrical releases will appear on the site “on an accelerated basis closer to their initial theatrical release,” meaning fans likely won’t have to wait as long as they did for previous films.

In the past, Lionsgate films have taken more than four months, sometimes closer to five, to arrive on Starz. We’re still waiting for release dates for titles like Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, which debuted in theaters in mid-November. Meanwhile, The Long Walk, which premiered in September, didn’t arrive on Starz until January 2026.

Shocking OpenVPP Partnership Claim Draws Urgent Scrutiny

The post Shocking OpenVPP Partnership Claim Draws Urgent Scrutiny appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. The cryptocurrency world is buzzing with a recent controversy surrounding a bold OpenVPP partnership claim. This week, OpenVPP (OVPP) announced what it presented as a significant collaboration with the U.S. government in the innovative field of energy tokenization. However, this claim quickly drew the sharp eye of on-chain analyst ZachXBT, who highlighted a swift and official rebuttal that has sent ripples through the digital asset community. What Sparked the OpenVPP Partnership Claim Controversy? The core of the issue revolves around OpenVPP’s assertion of a U.S. government partnership. This kind of collaboration would typically be a monumental endorsement for any private cryptocurrency project, especially given the current regulatory climate. Such a partnership could signify a new era of mainstream adoption and legitimacy for energy tokenization initiatives. OpenVPP initially claimed cooperation with the U.S. government. This alleged partnership was said to be in the domain of energy tokenization. The announcement generated considerable interest and discussion online. ZachXBT, known for his diligent on-chain investigations, was quick to flag the development. He brought attention to the fact that U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Commissioner Hester Peirce had directly addressed the OpenVPP partnership claim. Her response, delivered within hours, was unequivocal and starkly contradicted OpenVPP’s narrative. How Did Regulatory Authorities Respond to the OpenVPP Partnership Claim? Commissioner Hester Peirce’s statement was a crucial turning point in this unfolding story. She clearly stated that the SEC, as an agency, does not engage in partnerships with private cryptocurrency projects. This response effectively dismantled the credibility of OpenVPP’s initial announcement regarding their supposed government collaboration. Peirce’s swift clarification underscores a fundamental principle of regulatory bodies: maintaining impartiality and avoiding endorsements of private entities. Her statement serves as a vital reminder to the crypto community about the official stance of government agencies concerning private ventures. Moreover, ZachXBT’s analysis…
