MANILA, Philippines – There’s a plan to dissolve the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI), the body tasked with investigating corruption in flood control and other infrastructure projects in the past decade.
With the resignation of two commissioners from the Independent Commission for Infrastructure — leaving Chairperson Andres Reyes Jr. as its lone member — the commission says it is “unable to resume its official operations until a quorum is restored.”
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., who created the commission in September 2025, said that “all the things that have to be investigated have been investigated.”
But is their job really done?
