According to a PANews report from February 1st, CoinAnk data reveals that cryptocurrency futures liquidations reached an alarming $2.06 billion within just 12 hours. Notably, long positions bore the brunt with $1.96 billion in losses, whereas short positions accounted for merely $103 million. Bitcoin liquidations alone totaled $671 million; meanwhile, Ethereum experienced even steeper losses at $884 million. Overall, this reflects devastating consequences for traders who wagered on rising prices, only to find the market dramatically turning against their positions.
PANews reported on February 1st that, according to CoinAnk data, the total liquidation amount for cryptocurrency futures contracts across the entire network reached $2.061 billion in the past 12 hours, including $1.958 billion in long positions and $103 million in short positions. The total liquidation amount for BTC was $671 million, and for ETH it was $884 million.
