The psychological thriller ‘Fear Struck’ by Kay A. Oliver has been honored with the 2026 International Impact Award for Crime Fiction – Psychological Thriller. This latest recognition follows previous top honors at the Fall 2025 BookFest Awards and dual recognition at the 2025 Best Book Awards, solidifying the novel’s position in contemporary literature.

Oliver expressed gratitude for the award, stating the honor was humbling and thanking judges and readers who embraced the story’s dark journey. The novel follows writer Orson Kutter, whose dark fiction becomes disturbingly real when murders begin mirroring his latest manuscript. As Detective Tweed investigates, convinced the truth lies within Kutter’s pages, the line between imagination and confession dissolves completely.

The investigation delves into a disturbing belief system rooted in blood, faith, and destiny, exploring themes of morality and human belief that have captivated critics and readers. Described as relentless, chilling, and sharply intelligent, the novel grips readers from the first page and delivers a final twist that lingers long after the last word.

The International Impact Book Awards organization, which presents the honor, states its mission is to celebrate exceptional authors from around the world and elevate the voices of independent authors, traditionally published writers, and forward-thinking publishers committed to storytelling with purpose. More information about their mission can be found at https://www.internationalimpactawards.com.

‘Fear Struck’ represents another achievement for Oliver, whose work has earned more than thirty literary awards, including being named Fiction Author of the Year 2025 by the International Association of Top Professionals. With over three decades in Hollywood, Oliver infuses her writing with industry insight and a cinematic edge that has fostered admiration among readers and industry followers.

The novel is the first in the Kutter Mystery series, with the second book, ‘Blood Seed,’ available for pre-order and scheduled for paperback release on February 17th. Readers interested in exploring Oliver’s world of stories and writing resources can visit https://www.KayAOliver.com.
