According to analyst Rick Wilson, Gabbard halted an intelligence investigation involving foreign operatives and instead carried classified material directly to Trump chief of staff Susie Wiles — a move he says risked exposing crown-jewel surveillance methods and alerting foreign targets. Wilson warned the episode raises serious questions about Gabbard’s judgment and temperament, especially amid concerns the intercepted communications may have involved someone close to Trump operating outside formal government channels.
