Program bundles medication counseling, written prescription, human coaching and nutrition support

SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Bilingual telehealth provider MiSalud Health today announced a $25/month all-inclusive GLP-1 support program. Its goal is to make these life-changing medications and ongoing nutrition and health coaching more accessible to all families.

The program costs a fraction of the $75-$249 monthly fees others charge just to access physicians who can write the multiple prescriptions required to manage proper dosing over time. Other companies typically bill separately for nutrition coaching and don’t offer mental health support at all.

“That’s not attainable for most people and their families,” said Wendy Johansson, COO and co-founder of MiSalud Health. “We knew we needed to find a more cost-effective way to integrate everything busy, hardworking people need to create more equitable access to these medications and their long-term health benefits.”

MiSalud Health’s unprecedented cost efficiency is possible through a combination of its near-shored team structure, which leverages both U.S.-licensed providers and health coaches who are clinicians licensed in Mexico, and a new partnership with Anthropic.

All-In-One Support Made for Better Long-Term Health

In health screenings conducted by MiSalud Health, mostly of heavily-Spanish-speaking populations, 70% of patients were either overweight or obese. Nationally, Latinos are 12% more likely than U.S. adults overall to have obesity.

“In order to have the biggest impact, we knew we needed to flip the model,” Johansson said. “Instead of optimizing on revenue per patient, we focused on the people who would most benefit from a combination of our services and these life changing treatments.” That’s why MiSalud’s new GLP-1 program includes:

  • Clinical intake, including medical history to evaluate safety and appropriateness
  • Prescription for FDA-approved, brand-name medication (medication costs are covered either by the patient’s insurance or self-pay)
  • Ongoing physician oversight and unlimited health coaching in English or Spanish
  • Integrated nutrition coaching
  • Mental health support
  • 24/7 access via video, phone, and messaging

Anthropic’s Claude for Healthcare will allow MiSalud to scale its deeply personal, culturally competent care.

“An individual’s commitment to weight loss and long-term health deserves ongoing, personalized resources that work for their journey,” said Bismarck Lepe, CEO and co-founder. “Claude will scale our health coaches’ guidance so we can provide 24/7 support that both prompts and reinforces healthy habits. That means on-demand answers to patient questions, culturally adapted education, proactive outreach if someone needs a nudge or misses a check-in, and alert systems that tell our human care team when to step in if more help is needed.”

Designed to Democratize Access

MiSalud Health GLP-1 program works for everyone. But it’s designed for:

People without a primary care doctor. Nearly 30% of Hispanic adults in the U.S. don’t have one. Most GLP-1 programs require existing medical records or PCP coordination. By building medical evaluation directly into its platform, MiSalud overcomes barriers to care while ensuring prescriptions are issued only when medically appropriate.

Spanish speakers who need more than translation. Research shows language barriers cause Spanish-speaking patients to skip care at more than double the rate of English speakers. MiSalud’s bilingual health coaches provide culturally competent care – not just translated instructions.

Anyone who knows medication isn’t magic. Research shows GLP-1 medications combined with comprehensive lifestyle intervention, such as nutrition and behavioral support, produce substantially greater weight loss outcomes than medication alone, with some studies showing improvements of 15% or more.

MiSalud builds that into every patient’s journey. Even before GLP-1s, participants in their programs lost an average of 16 pounds over 12 weeks and dropped their blood sugar levels an average of 36%, in many cases moving from diabetic to pre-diabetic.

People who can’t “just take time off.” Workers in agriculture, construction, manufacturing, and hospitality don’t have schedules that bend for 2 p.m. doctor appointments.

Patients managing multiple conditions. In traditional care, having diabetes, hypertension, obesity and mental health needs requires at least three separate providers. With MiSalud, one coach can coordinate integrated care and ongoing oversight.

Availability

Currently available by invitation in 16 states, MiSalud’s GLP-1 program will be available to all individuals later this quarter via the Google Play and Apple App Stores. Those interested can sign up to be notified of availability here.

The post Why The Green Bay Packers Must Take The Cleveland Browns Seriously — As Hard As That Might Be appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers are off to a 2-0 start. Getty Images The Green Bay Packers are, once again, one of the NFL’s better teams. The Cleveland Browns are, once again, one of the league’s doormats. It’s why unbeaten Green Bay (2-0) is a 8-point favorite at winless Cleveland (0-2) Sunday according to betmgm.com. The money line is also Green Bay -500. Most expect this to be a Packers’ rout, and it very well could be. But Green Bay knows taking anyone in this league for granted can prove costly. “I think if you look at their roster, the paper, who they have on that team, what they can do, they got a lot of talent and things can turn around quickly for them,” Packers safety Xavier McKinney said. “We just got to kind of keep that in mind and know we not just walking into something and they just going to lay down. That’s not what they going to do.” The Browns certainly haven’t laid down on defense. Far from. Cleveland is allowing an NFL-best 191.5 yards per game. The Browns gave up 141 yards to Cincinnati in Week 1, including just seven in the second half, but still lost, 17-16. Cleveland has given up an NFL-best 45.5 rushing yards per game and just 2.1 rushing yards per attempt. “The biggest thing is our defensive line is much, much improved over last year and I think we’ve got back to our personality,” defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz said recently. “When we play our best, our D-line leads us there as our engine.” The Browns rank third in the league in passing defense, allowing just 146.0 yards per game. Cleveland has also gone 30 straight games without allowing a 300-yard passer, the longest active streak in the NFL.…
