WWE SmackDown Results, Winners And Highlights

Men’s Elimination Chamber Field Faces Off

  • This was a short-but-sweet opening segment considering all the top stars involved and all the microphones to go around. Trick Williams was the most over. LA Knight brawled with Trick and Randy Orton RKO’d Je’Von Evans. Drew McIntyre made a cameo but decided against getting physical with Cody Rhodes.
  • Jey Uso was attacked backstage and will likely be removed from the Elimination Chamber. Bronson Reed was originally penned to win the Elimination Chamber qualifier this week, but he was injured.

Uncle Howdy Def. Solo Sikoa

  • This match started with faint “Uncle Howdy” chants. Solo Sikoa injured his right hand after he missed a Samoan Spike against the post, but he dominated the match coming out of the break.
  • Howdy slowly battled back by working over the right thumb of Solo Sikoa. Sikoa flattened Uncle Howdy with a Samoan Splash, and when Uncle Howdy kicked out, he was incredulous. The “Uncle Howdy” chants grew louder.
  • Solo charged Uncle Howdy, but Uncle Howdy intercepted Solo and stuck him with Sister Abigail for the win. Uncle Howdy retrieved his lantern, but Talla Tonga laid him out with a big boot and took the lantern back.
  • Backstage, Paul Heyman suggested Logan Paul as a replacement for Jey Uso.

Solo Sikoa vs. Uncle Howdy Match Grade: B

Tiffany Stratton Def. Kairi Sane

  • This was originally scheduled to be Tiffany Stratton vs. Asuka, but Asuka bait-and-switched to Kairi Sane. Chelsea Green was on commentary, and she was hating on “Tacky Time” Tiffany Stratton.
  • Fans rallied behind Stratton as Kairi Sane prepared for the Insane Elbow. Instead, Kairi bumped into Alba Fyre, then another accidental bump onto the injured Chelsea Green.
  • Stratton capitalized with the PME for the win.

Tiffany Stratton vs. Kairi Sane Match Grade: B-

Oba Femi Def. The Miz

  • The Miz tried to convince Oba to join forces. Miz talked about his infamously tough journey through the WWE locker room and how he was still able to get to the top of the company. Miz compared himself to famed WWE locker room leaders. “Let me be your Undertaker.”
  • Oba Femi clapped back by saying the only similarities between Oba Femi and the Undertaker is Miz is a Deadman. This was a highly entertaining back-and-forth.
  • Oba teased aligning with the Miz before beating him with three moves. Oba won in under five minutes even with the dueling promos.

Oba Femi vs. the Miz match grade: B

Carmelo Hayes Def. Matt Cardona

  • Carmelo Hayes seemed to flash a heel edge backstage while demanding an open challenge. Matt Cardona got the better of Melo early on. Cardona scored with an impressive Russian Leg Sweep onto the barricade.
  • This is the sixth title defense for Melo, who did not get a single shot in against Cardona for several minutes into the match. From this point on, anybody should be considered a threat to end Melo’s reign.
  • Fans rallied behind Melo as he slowly got back into the match with right hands. Cardona cut off Melo during a furious comeback. Melo was able to put down Ryder with a First 48 for the win. The two shook hands after the match.

Matt Cardona vs. Carmelo Hayes match grade: B

Jordynne Grace Def. Candice LeRae

  • Johnny Gargano continued to be comatose backstage, but he actually lagged behind Candice LeRae on two feet during her entrance. Gargano returned to his funk by lying down on the announce table.
  • Jordynne Grace and Candice LeRae went back-and-forth with rollups as fans began to chant for Grace. LeRae survived a stalling suplex from the second rope for the nearfall.
  • Gargano sat up like the Undertaker as fans chanted his name. Gargano sulked off like the walking dead, distracting Candice. Grace hit a Pumphandle German Suplex on LeRae for the win.

Jordynne Grace vs. Candice LeRae Match Grade: B-

The Irresistible Forces Def. Rhiyo

  • Iyo Sky was shot out of a cannon and into a big boot from Lash Legend. This is a very specific category, but Lash Legend delivering a big boot to Iyo Sky is one of the best spots in all of wrestling.
  • Nia Jax hit a Samoan Drop on Rhea Ripley and set her up for the Annihilator. Ripley countered with a power bomb from the second rope for a nearfall. Iyo Sky tagged in and over-rotated a somersault on Nia Jax. She then ran wild on Lash Legend with a bullet train meteora. Fans chanted “this is awesome!”
  • Nia Jax squashed Iyo with an Annihilator, but Ripley pulled Legend off Iyo. Ripley put down Jax with the Riptide, but legal Lash swooped in with a Lash Extension on Rhea for the win.
  • As Lash and Nia celebrated in tears, Nia said “I’m so proud of you.” This was a real moment and you could feel the emotion of the win, which elevated both titles.

Rhiyo vs. The Irresistible Forces Match Grade: B+

Logan Paul Def. Jacob Fatu

  • Backstage, Sami Zayn and Jacob Fatu got in an intense argument over who attacked Jey Uso. I think it was Sami.
  • Fans chanted for Fatu as the announcers questioned who took out Jey and Jacob Fatu.
  • Paul Heyman got involved, leading to a low-blow from Logan Paul. Paul followed up with a Frog Splash for the nearest of nearfalls.
  • The mystery masked man hit the ring. Paul wrangled “the Bane of the Vision” and unmasked him. He was nobody of substance. Drew McIntyre flew in with a Claymore Kick and Logan Paul stole the win.

Logan Paul vs. Jacob Fatu Match Grade: B
