House Democrats walked out of a closed-door briefing with Attorney General Pam Bondi and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche on Wednesday, refusing to participate because cameras were not allowed in the room, according to baffled Republicans in the hearing.

Bondi was on Capitol Hill to testify before House committees about the Justice Department’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files and related decisions under the Trump administration, including allegations of politicization and mishandling of victim-sensitive material.

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) posted on X that Bondi and Blanche had "willingly" appeared before the House Oversight Committee to answer questions, only to watch Democrats walk out en masse.

"Democrats all just stormed out after refusing to ask questions because the cameras are off. Nothing is ever good enough for these theatrical fools," Boebert chided.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) piled on, saying Bondi had been responsive and cooperative during the briefing.

"The attorney general was willing to come answer their questions, and they walked out. That kind of tells you this is all about politics for the Democrats,” Jordan said, according to Punchbowl News reporter Max Cohen. "That kind of tells you this is all about politics for the Democrats."

Democrats were briefing reporters after the walkout.
