If you missed Wuthering Heights in theaters or want to experience it again, now’s your chance. The sweeping period drama is now streaming on digital video-on-demand platforms like Prime Video and Apple TV, arriving two months after its theatrical debut.
Directed by Oscar-winning Emerald Fennell, the adaptation comes nearly two centuries after Emily Brontë first published the classic Gothic novel. The movie stars Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi as Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff, the intensely passionate yet deeply flawed lovers at the center of the story, whose obsessive relationship unfolds against the windswept Yorkshire moors of Northern England.
“Tragedy strikes when Heathcliff falls in love with Catherine Earnshaw, a woman from a wealthy family in 18th-century England,” the official synopsis reads. The ensemble cast also features Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, Martin Clunes, and Ewan Mitchell.
Wuthering Heights had a solid box office run, grossing $236 million worldwide overall. It’s currently the fifth-highest-grossing film in the U.S. of 2026 and the third biggest worldwide, behind Hoppers (No. 2) and Pegasus 3 (No. 1), according to Box Office Mojo. The film reportedly cost $80 to produce (not including the millions spent on marketing and promotion, per NBC News).
