A subsidiary of Vodafone Qatar has completed the acquisition of Maktapp, a subscription-based cloud software-as-a-service (SaaS) for business management.
The buyout by Infinity Fintech Ventures is part of the telco’s move to strengthen its digital strategy, Vodafone Qatar said in a statement to the Qatar Stock Exchange.
Maktapp helps companies bill customers, get paid and manage finances digitally on a single online platform.
No financial details of the deal were disclosed.
Last week, Vodafone Qatar reported a 24 percent year-on-year increase in net profit to QR201 million ($55 million) in the first quarter of 2026. Total revenue increased by 7 percent annually to QR914 million.
Vodafone Qatar serves two million mobile customers.
The company’s board decided not to distribute interim dividends for the first quarter due to the conflict in Iran.
The company’s shares closed 2.5 percent higher at QR2.71 on Tuesday and are up 11 percent so far this year.
A joint venture between Vodafone Group and Qatar Foundation owns 45 percent of Vodafone Qatar.
