With tokenized RWA strategies provided by Plume, the open finance platform, and DigiFT, a digital asset exchange dual-licensed in Singapore and Hong Kong for institutional-grade real-world assets, Bybit, the second-largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world by trading volume, has introduced RWA Earn.
Eligible users may now subscribe to two tokenized institutional bond funds managed by China Merchants Bank International and PIMCO via Bybit RWA Earn, each of which offers distinctive international prospects.
Institutional bond funds have long been out of reach for the majority of investors and crypto-native traders due to brokerage requirements, accreditation criteria, and disjointed onboarding procedures that favor big institutions.
That gap is filled by Bybit RWA Earn. Bybit is enabling crypto-native investors to hold positions in the same fixed-income strategies that sovereign wealth funds and pension managers rely on without leaving the crypto ecosystem through subscriptions through regulated tokenization infrastructures, which are provided and run by Plume and DigiFT.
Bybit customers may spend their stablecoins and get institutional-grade returns straight from their current accounts using Plume’s straightforward, compliant onchain vaults.
The regulated link between institutional fund managers and on-chain distribution is provided by DigiFT’s exchange infrastructure, allowing products that were initially created for professional investors to be organized for wider access.
This collaboration with Plume, Bybit, and DigiFT shows what occurs when worldwide distribution and institutional-grade onchain infrastructure are combined. For far too long, cryptocurrency consumers have been forced to decide between pursuing unsustainable DeFi payouts with protocol risk or keeping stablecoins dormant.
The launch takes place at a turning moment for the real-world assets (RWA) industry as a whole. Tokenized RWAs are becoming popular as a structural trend in both conventional and decentralized finance, and stablecoin market capitalization is expected to hit $300 billion in 2026. RWA Earn is a symptom of the growing usage of crypto infrastructure to expand access to international capital markets.
RWA Earn launches two fund products, both tokenized using DigiFT with Bybit serving as the distribution layer, to accommodate varying risk-return choices.
PIMCO Dynamic Income Opportunities Fund (PDO): With $2.26 trillion in assets under management and more than 50 years of investing expertise, PIMCO is one of the top fixed-income managers in the world. With an emphasis on producing current income, PDO dynamically distributes funds across corporate debt, mortgage-backed securities, government bonds, bank loans, and developing market instruments. For qualified Bybit customers, the fund is accessible at no cost and has a history of competitive APR.
CMB International Asset Management, a division of China Merchants Bank Group, one of the biggest and most established financial organizations in China, is in charge of managing the CMBI Investment Grade Bond Fund (CMIGB). With an average credit rating of BBB+, a portfolio term of 3.24 years, and a competitive annual percentage rate, the fund seeks steady returns from investment-grade bonds in Asian and international credit markets. There are no redemption or subscription costs.
In the Plume ecosystem framework, which offers the RWA infrastructure layer, both products are tokenized using DigiFT, governed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), and processed via Plume Nest Vaults for on-chain subscription and fund allocation. State Street Bank (PDO) and CMB Wing Lung Trustee (CMIGB), respectively, are in institutional custody of the underlying assets.
There are no redemption or subscription costs. Bybit is responsible for paying all on-chain gas costs for both goods.
Since 2024, Bybit has led the way in delivering TradFi products to cryptocurrency markets, including CFD trading, tokenized stocks, and perpetual contracts that include assets like AI stocks and precious metals. The next step in Bybit’s RWA strategy is RWA Earn, which expands the platform’s reach into institutional fixed-income for the first time.
