If You Hold XRP, You Should See This

  • Long-term XRP holders stayed through years of silence and doubt, with Pumpius framing holding as a conscious choice rooted in conviction.
  • Key XRP progress happened behind the scenes, during legal and regulatory pressure, as infrastructure was built quietly.
  • The current phase feels more like execution than hype, suggesting XRP is transitioning from preparation to real-world usage.

Crypto commentator Pumpius has delivered a reflective message to the XRP community, framing long-term holding not as chance or speculation, but as a deliberate choice made through years of uncertainty.

According to Pumpius, remaining committed to XRP during prolonged periods of silence and underperformance required conviction rather than comfort, especially when clearer narratives and faster-moving assets dominated attention.

He argues that the XRP journey was never designed to reward impatience, but to test belief in moments when there was no applause, no validation, and no defined timeline for success.

“Being Early” Meant Silence, Not Validation

Pumpius emphasized that early participation in XRP came with isolation rather than affirmation. While public narratives often failed to reflect what was happening beneath the surface, holders were forced to endure long stretches where progress appeared invisible.

He pointed to a disconnect between institutional timelines and social media-driven expectations, noting that XRP’s development followed the pace of financial infrastructure rather than retail sentiment. In that gap, doubt emerged, but for some, conviction was strengthened.

Progress Built Behind Closed Doors

The commentator highlighted that XRP’s most critical development phase occurred under intense legal and regulatory pressure. He argued that the absence of visible progress did not mean stagnation, but rather that the work underway could not be conducted publicly.

According to Pumpius, systems designed to move capital at a national or global scale are not built on public stages. Instead, they are constructed quietly, through negotiations, regulatory engagement, and technical hardening. XRP’s ability to withstand legal scrutiny and persistent misrepresentation is framed as a formative period rather than a weakness.

Infrastructure Over Hope

Pumpius rejected the idea that XRP’s foundation rests on optimism alone. Instead, he described it as preparation shaped by resistance, relationships forged under pressure, and infrastructure tested during its most difficult chapter.

He suggested that networks capable of surviving sustained adversity tend to mature rather than collapse, and that XRP’s endurance through regulatory fog and market skepticism has strengthened its underlying structure.

A Shift in Tone Signals Execution

According to Pumpius, the current phase surrounding XRP feels different. Rather than louder messaging or heightened hype, he described a calmer and more precise tone emerging across the ecosystem.

In his view, this shift reflects execution rather than anticipation, as groundwork transitions into real-world usage, flow, and volume. He implied that when infrastructure reaches readiness, progress becomes less performative and more functional, allowing reality to assert itself without fanfare.

Recognition for Building Through Adversity

Pumpius concluded by acknowledging Ripple’s leadership, including CEO Brad Garlinghouse, for continuing to build during the most challenging period of XRP’s history. He framed this era as one where rewards were distant and criticism constant, yet development continued regardless of public sentiment.

As XRP’s trajectory becomes clearer to a wider audience, Pumpius urged long-term holders to remember the period of waiting and uncertainty. In his words, the version of holders who endured doubt and stayed is the reason they remain positioned today, before broader recognition sets in.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…
