Optimism (OP) price prediction shows potential 8-25% gains to $0.13-$0.15 range by month-end as analysts eye key resistance breakout despite current bearish technical signals.

OP Price Prediction: Targets $0.13-$0.15 by March End Despite Bearish Momentum

OP Price Prediction Summary

• Short-term target (1 week): $0.13 • Medium-term forecast (1 month): $0.13-$0.15 range
• Bullish breakout level: $0.13 • Critical support: $0.12

What Crypto Analysts Are Saying About Optimism

Recent analyst sentiment on Optimism remains cautiously optimistic despite current market headwinds. Peter Zhang stated on March 11, 2026: "OP price prediction shows potential for 8-25% gains to $0.13-$0.15 by month-end as Optimism tests key resistance levels despite current bearish momentum signals."

Similarly, Lawrence Jengar echoed this sentiment on March 10, 2026, providing the same target range of $0.13-$0.15, suggesting a consensus among technical analysts regarding Optimism's near-term potential.

While specific analyst predictions focus on the technical setup, on-chain metrics continue to provide mixed signals for the Layer 2 scaling solution.

OP Technical Analysis Breakdown

The current technical landscape for Optimism presents a complex picture. Trading at $0.12, OP has experienced a -2.24% decline over the past 24 hours, with the token oscillating between $0.12 and $0.13.

The RSI reading of 34.64 places Optimism in neutral territory, suggesting neither oversold nor overbought conditions. However, the MACD histogram at 0.0000 indicates bearish momentum, with both the MACD line (-0.0144) and signal line (-0.0144) in negative territory.

Bollinger Bands analysis shows OP positioned at 0.57 between the bands, with the upper band at $0.13 serving as immediate resistance and the lower band at $0.11 providing downside support. The middle band aligns with the 20-day SMA at $0.12, right at current price levels.

Moving averages paint a mixed picture: while the 7-day and 20-day SMAs both sit at $0.12, the 50-day SMA at $0.17 and 200-day SMA at $0.39 indicate longer-term downward pressure. The Daily ATR of $0.01 suggests relatively low volatility in recent sessions.

Optimism Price Targets: Bull vs Bear Case

Bullish Scenario

In the bullish case, OP price prediction models point to an initial target of $0.13, representing the immediate resistance level and upper Bollinger Band. A successful break above this level could propel Optimism toward the $0.15 target cited by multiple analysts.

Technical confirmation would require sustained volume above the 24-hour average of $4.36 million and RSI movement above 50. The Optimism forecast becomes increasingly positive if the token can reclaim the 50-day SMA at $0.17.

Bearish Scenario

The bearish scenario sees OP retesting the strong support at $0.12, which aligns with current pivot levels. A break below this critical support could target the lower Bollinger Band at $0.11.

Key risk factors include the persistent bearish MACD momentum and the significant gap to longer-term moving averages. The Stochastic indicators (%K at 47.64, %D at 38.12) suggest potential for further downside if selling pressure intensifies.

Should You Buy OP? Entry Strategy

For those considering entry, the current $0.12 level offers a strategic opportunity given its confluence with multiple support factors. A conservative approach would involve dollar-cost averaging with initial positions at current levels and additional buying on any dip toward $0.11.

Stop-loss placement below $0.11 would limit downside risk while allowing for the anticipated move toward $0.13-$0.15 resistance zones. Risk management remains crucial given the mixed technical signals and broader market uncertainty.

Conclusion

The OP price prediction for the remainder of March suggests moderate upside potential, with analyst targets of $0.13-$0.15 representing 8-25% gains from current levels. However, bearish momentum indicators warrant caution, and any Optimism forecast must account for the challenging technical backdrop.

While the medium-term outlook appears constructive based on analyst consensus, traders should remain vigilant for confirmation of bullish momentum before committing significant capital. As always, cryptocurrency price predictions carry inherent risks, and investors should conduct thorough research and never invest more than they can afford to lose.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…
