Het grootste probleem is de lage activiteit op het netwerk. De totale waarde in Cardano’s DeFi is klein vergeleken met Ethereum of Solana. Veel ontwikkelaars kiezen blockchains waar meer volume en gebruikers zijn. Dat vertaalt zich in minder transacties en lagere fees. Zo lang dat niet verandert, blijft de vraag waarom stijgt Cardano niet relevant. ADA wordt wel gezien als veilige optie voor de lange termijn, maar mist nog de katalysator die nieuwe investeerders aantrekt. Roadmap naar $ 4 Voor een koers van $ 4 in 2025 is een duidelijke route nodig. Ten eerste is de goedkeuring van een ETF en aantoonbare instroom van kapitaal nodig. Ten tweede moet er een succesvolle uitrol van het NEAR partnership zijn met zichtbare adoptie. Ten derde moet Hydra echt werken en voor meer transacties zorgen. Als deze stappen in 2025 slagen, en de markt in bull modus blijft, kan een koers van $ 4 haalbaar zijn. Worden de beloftes niet ingelost, dan blijft ADA hangen in het huidige speelveld. Voor $ 4 is een doorbraak boven $ 3,10, de oude all time high, onvermijdelijk. Onder $ 0,75 wordt het gevaarlijk, want dan kan de koers wegzakken richting $ 0,66 of lager. The move could be a game-changer, opening the door for swaps across more than 20 blockchains.  At the same time, analysts and institutions are keeping a close eye on ADA, with price predictions ranging anywhere from $4 to as high as $15

REX Shares and Osprey Funds have submitted 21 individual crypto ETF applications to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The filings include large tokens such as Cardano (ADA), Stellar (XLM), Sui (SUI), and Hype (HYPE).  Unlike spot products, many of these filings use staking mechanisms. Not only would they be able to monitor the token price performance, but they would also have the opportunity to receive rewards from staked assets. Tokens such as ADA, AVAX, DOT, NEAR, SEI, SUI, TAO, and HYPE are staked. The decision follows the success of REX-Osprey’s Solana staking ETF, which recently saw strong performance and inspired broader multi-coin filings. The filings also bring Cayman Islands subsidiaries under U.S. regulatory and tax requirements. These offshore entities allow managers to continue to be exposed to digital assets while retaining regulated investment company status. Beyond US markets, the documents hint that up to 40% of assets may be invested in foreign-listed ETPs, such as those offered by 21Shares, CoinShares and Valour. SEC approval process  The timing of the filings comes as the SEC recently got new listing standards for commodity-based trust shares clear. That adjustment significantly cuts the amount of time required for ETF applications to enter the market by eliminating the more complex process of 19b-4. Dozens of crypto-related filings could now go to trading status far more quickly than under the old rules. However, good progress is not always assured. Following the shutdown of the U.S. government due to Congress’s inability to agree on a budget, the SEC is running at reduced staffing levels. Without clear direction from SEC leadership, ETF approvals are unlikely to move forward until the government reopens. The delay may affect the new REX-Osprey products that are being filed and other applications that are approaching important deadlines. October deadlines put pressure on SEC October 2025 is set to be a crucial month for crypto markets. The SEC has final deadlines on 16 ETF applications, including several related to altcoins other than Bitcoin and Ether. Proposals for Solana, XRP and Litecoin showcase how the market is progressing towards more inclusive digital asset coverage. On September 17, the SEC voted to approve a new set of “generic listing standards” for exchange-traded products that are linked to spot commodities, including cryptocurrencies. Analysts see the development as a major step that could expedite ETF approvals. By eliminating the requirement for case-by-case adjustments to the rules, the standards are expected to help accelerate integration of crypto into mainstream financial products. Industry players note the shutdown is similar to other shutdowns in the past, such as a 2018 shutdown that lasted more than a month. REX Shares and Osprey Funds have filed for 21 single-asset crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs) with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The applications include products tied to Cardano (ADA), Stellar (XLM), Sui (SUI), and Hype (HYPE). The filings represent one of the largest coordinated pushes for crypto ETFs in the market’s history. REX-Osprey Crypto ETF Filings Include Staking, Cayman Structures, And Global ETPs Based on the SEC document, the proposed ETFs are not limited to simple price tracking. Most of them are established as staked products. Thus, investors are able to earn rewards both from locking up their assets and the market performance of the tokens. Tokens that have been proposed for staking rewards include ADA, AVAX, DOT, NEAR, SEI, SUI, TAO and HYPE. Relatedly, REX-Osprey’s Solana staking ETF recently hit a new high. The performance of this ETF would have given the firms another boost to file for these multi-coin ETFs. To comply with U.S. tax and regulatory requirements, the funds will use Cayman Islands subsidiaries. These entities mirror the strategies of the U.S.-listed ETFs and allow the managers to keep exposure while maintaining regulated investment company status. Recently, the firms teased a Dogecoin ETF, causing a jump in DOGE price. The filing also states that at least 40% of assets could be invested in non-U.S. exchange-traded products, such as ETPs listed in Europe or Canada.
