Vietnam appears to be moving toward a regulated crypto market—but the circulating “JUST IN” claim should be treated cautiously. While it is true that the government has been exploring legal frameworks for digital assets, there is currently no widely confirmed official announcement specifying that exactly five licenses will be issued or that a project named “CAEX” has been formally approved.

What is well established is Vietnam’s strong grassroots crypto adoption. The country ranks among the most active retail crypto markets globally, with users already trading heavily on international platforms like OKX and Binance. This growing demand is precisely why regulators are under pressure to introduce oversight mechanisms.
