BAGUIO, Philippines – It is already rare for two sets of triplets to graduate from the same university with similar courses.
How about each set also passing the same board examinations together?
Ask the Isabela State University (ISU) in Cagayan Valley about it.
Recently, triplet brothers Carl Dominic, Bart Dominic, and Ace Dominic Alejandro all passed the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET), according to the ISU campus in Ilagan City.
Carl Dominic passed under the Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English, while Bart Dominic and Ace Dominic passed under the Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science.
School officials said it was the first time in the history of the campus’ College of Education that triplets passed the LET in the same examination cycle.
The three brothers were among the 45,001 successful examinees out of 61,561 who took the Secondary Level examination nationwide.
“From one family, one campus, and one shared dream — three new LPTs (licensed professional teachers) are now ready to serve Filipino learners,” the university said in a statement posted on social media.
Local officials and residents in Ilagan City hailed the brothers’ achievement as an inspiration to aspiring teachers and students across the province.
The Alejandro triplets followed another celebrated trio from Isabela who also achieved a rare academic feat after all three passed the Agriculturist Licensure Examination in November 2019.
They are triplets Jack, Ace, and King Baludo Pagaran, residents of Santa Maria and graduates of the Provincial Agriculture Technical Institute at the ISU Cabagan campus.
They also simultaneously earned their licenses as agriculturists.
The Pagarans, who graduated cum laude, were praised at the time for bringing pride to the province’s agricultural sector.
Jack worked with the Department of Agriculture Region 2 office while Ace and King worked with the DA in Nueva Vizcaya.
Ace is now a jail officer while King worked for a greenhouse in Canada. – Rappler.com
