Trump's cognitive health questioned again over strange ad-lib

President Donald Trump traveled to Las Vegas to promote his "no tax on tips" policy and discuss its impact on voters.

During his speech promoting his "One Big, Beautiful Bill," Trump became confused by the phrase "corner stores," questioning what the term meant. "Corner stores? What the hell is a corner store?" Trump said, adding "I know what a corner store is, but I've never heard it referred to that way."

"Who the hell wrote that?" said Trump.

His comments drew widespread mockery from political analysts, social media users and reporters.

Writer Jim Stewartson characterized the moment as indicative of concerning behavioral patterns, on X.

"It's hard to imagine another 80-year-old guy from Queens who doesn't know what a corner store is," lawyer Jeffrey Evan Gold posted on X.

"It’s never been more obvious as he attempts to speed read this script someone wrote for him that he can’t stand the affordability subject and doesn’t even want to do this event because he is completely disconnected from the lives of average Americans and couldn’t care less," Ron Filipkowski, editor-in-chief of MeidasTouch.com, posted on X.
