President Donald Trump's latest "grouchy" attack on a top Democrat sparked outrage on social media on Sunday.
Trump posted on Truth Social that House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries needs to be "impeached" over his criticisms of the Supreme Court, comparing it to the phone call that Trump had with Ukrainian officials in 2019 that got Trump impeached. Trump described Jeffries as "Low IQ," an attack he's used on other Democrats like Reps. Ilhan Omar and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

"Hakeem Jeffries, a Low IQ individual, said our Supreme Court is 'illegitimate,'" Trump wrote on Truth Social. "After saying such a thing, isn’t he subject to Impeachment? I got impeached for A PERFECT PHONE CALL. Where are you Republicans? Why not get it started? They’ll be doing this to me!"
Trump's comments sparked fury on social media.
"He knows he's cooked after the midterms," Jerrad Alexander, a museum conservator, posted on Bluesky. "The scary part is what could happen between now and when the newly elected Congress takes their seats."
"Look who’s sweating a future impeachment!" political commentator Thomas Paine posted on Bluesky.
"Whiny, grouchy, demented old fart," writer Suzette Sommer posted on Bluesky.
"OK, members of Congress cannot, of course, be impeached," former academic Bruce Shepard posted on Bluesky. "So, just who is the “Low IQ individual” here? And, once again, Trump demonstrates he has zero understanding of our Constitution."
