Fire Kirin does not update through Google Play or the App Store. Updates are manual downloads from the official site. On Android, you download and install a new APK. On iOS, you reinstall through Safari. Here is the full process for both, plus fixes for the most common update errors.
Running an outdated version causes real problems. Games freeze or fail to load. Login stops working after a server-side platform update. New game titles do not appear in your library. The fastest fix for most Fire Kirin technical issues is simply installing the current version.
Fire Kirin pushes updates a few times per year. There is no automatic notification. Your first sign that an update is out is usually a game crash or a login error that was not there yesterday.
If you get an “App not installed” error, uninstall the current version first, then install the new APK. This clears corrupted files from the old install.
Android blocks APK installs from outside Google Play by default.
iOS installs are less stable than Android on Fire Kirin. Apple periodically revokes enterprise certificates used for sideloaded apps. When this happens, the app stops launching entirely. The fix is always the same: go back to firekirin.xyz and reinstall from the current iOS link.
Open Fire Kirin. Tap the menu icon in the top corner (three lines or a gear). Look for “About” or “Version” at the bottom of the settings panel. Compare that number to the version shown on firekirin.xyz.
If the site shows a higher version number, you are overdue for an update.
| Error | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| App not installed | Corrupted old APK files | Uninstall current version first, then install new APK |
| Parse error | Incomplete APK download | Delete the file, redownload on a stable connection |
| Unknown sources blocked | Android security setting | Enable unknown sources for your browser in settings |
| iOS profile not trusted | Profile install not confirmed | Settings > General > VPN & Device Management > trust the profile |
| Certificate revoked (iOS) | Apple revoked the enterprise cert | Reinstall from the current iOS link at firekirin.xyz |
| Games still not loading after update | Cache from old version | Clear app cache or uninstall and reinstall fresh |
If your login worked before the update and now fails, the issue is usually a cached session conflicting with the new version. Log out fully, clear the app cache, and log back in.
For login-specific issues not related to updates, see the Fire Kirin complete guide.
Go to firekirin.xyz, download the latest APK, and install over your existing version. Uninstall first if you get an install error. Credentials are preserved.
It is not on Google Play or the App Store, so automatic updates do not exist. All updates are manual downloads from firekirin.xyz.
Safari > firekirin.xyz > iOS download link > follow the profile prompt. If blocked, go to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management and trust the profile.
Incomplete APK download. Delete the file, connect to stable Wi-Fi, and download again from firekirin.xyz.
Old cached files conflicting with the new version. Uninstall completely, clear cache, and reinstall from firekirin.xyz.
Apple revoked the enterprise certificate. Reinstall from the current iOS link at firekirin.xyz.
