Never-before-seen transcripts shed light on Trump's most prominent allies

Over five dozen grand jury transcripts from the Georgia criminal case against President Donald Trump were publicly released on Thursday, announced Lawfare's Anna Bower on X.

The 61 transcripts include previously unseen testimony from prominent Trump allies, including Rudy Giuliani, Lindsey Graham, and Cleta Mitchell.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis brought the case, which accused Trump and his attorneys and political operatives of a racketeering scheme to overturn the 2020 election results. Several Trump allies pleaded guilty in exchange for reduced sentences.

The broader case against Trump stalled in 2024 after Willis was disqualified for misconduct related to a romantic relationship with an assigned special prosecutor. After Trump's re-election made the case politically difficult to pursue, it was reassigned in November 2025 to the head of the state prosecutors' association, who moved to dismiss all remaining charges.
