Trump embarrassed as MS NOW runs video of him sleeping alongside his Biden attacks

The co-hosts of MS NOW’s “Morning Joe” piled on Donald Trump for repeatedly nodding off during an Oval Office appearance on Monday afternoon and contrasted that with comments he made in 2024 where he ridiculed “Sleepy Joe” Biden.

To make their case, they ran the Monday video of Trump with his eyes closed for an extended period of time with audio from his interview with podcaster Andrew Schulz.

While the White House vehemently insisted the president was “blinking,” the MS NOW hosts were not buying it.

“You know, the thing is, everybody's entitled to sleep,” co-host Joe Scarborough remarked. “And, you know, I like sleeping, you know, and sometimes you close your eyes, you know, you get tired, but you remember Sleepy Joe?”

“I remember Joe Biden goes to a memorial service in Hawaii, and he closes his eyes for about three seconds and a lot of people thought it was because he was sad at the tragedy there,” he recalled. “And Trump people just went absolutely crazy: ‘Sleepy Joe, Sleepy Joe.’ This isn't the first time he's [Trump] appeared to be taking a catnap in the Oval Office. So again, you know [President Ronald] Reagan did it. People do it. Okay, that's fine, but you can't just go on and on and on about Sleepy Joe, Sleepy Joe.”

The co-hosts then ran the clip on Trump talking with podcaster Schulz from two years ago and smirking as he stated, “He has one ability I don't have. Yeah, he sleeps. He can sleep. This guy goes on a beach and he lays down on one of those, you know, six-ounce, They weigh six ounces and you can't lift it. But he has an ability to fall asleep while on camera. He can lie down on one of those things. Yeah. And in minutes, he's stone cold out.”

As audio of Trump continued, the “Morning Joe” producers flipped to video of Trump asleep on camera on Monday as the president from the older audio asserting, “How does he do it? He's the president. So they have cameras on him. Yeah, yeah. And then they show him sleeping on the beach. Yeah. You'll never see me sleeping in front of cameras.”

Scarborough added, “Well, Andrew Schultz chortling there. He's now seen the errors in his way.”

He then offered, “But but you know, and it goes also to like again, all you ever heard Sleepy Joe, Sleepy Joe, Sleepy Joe, Sleepy Joe and the Biden crime family…. do they think we’re stupid?”
