Ripple increased RLUSD supply by $39.4 million within 24 hours, reflecting heightened minting activity across its networks. Data from the Ripple USD tracker shows steady issuance and no token burns during this period. Meanwhile, network developers urged validators to upgrade ahead of an upcoming XRP Ledger (XRPL) amendment deadline.

RLUSD Minting Surges Across XRP Ledger and Ethereum

Ripple recorded $33.4 million RLUSD minted on May 18, followed by $6 million early on May 19. These figures brought total minting activity to $39.4 million within a single day.

The Ripple Stablecoin tracker reported two large transactions totaling $31 million RLUSD on the XRP Ledger. It stated, “$16 million RLUSD and $15 million RLUSD were minted in separate transactions.”

Meanwhile, no RLUSD tokens were burned during the same 24-hour period. This absence of burn activity contrasts with earlier supply adjustments seen this month.

Current data shows RLUSD supply on the XRP Ledger reached $442,192,034 after the minting events. At the same time, total circulating supply across networks stands at $1,611,422,372.

Earlier activity on May 15 included burn transactions on Ethereum totaling 32,075,051 RLUSD. These transactions involved 22,075,051 RLUSD and an additional 10,000,000 RLUSD removed from circulation.

XRP Ledger Upgrade Push Intensifies Before Amendment Deadline

Ripple engineering leadership urged validators to upgrade nodes to version 3.1.3 ahead of an approaching activation deadline. This update includes a default-yes fix amendment scheduled for activation in about eight days.

J.A. Akinyele stated that only 44% of the network has completed the upgrade so far. He said, “Node operators should upgrade as soon as possible to avoid disruption.”

Nodes that fail to upgrade will face amendment blocking once the update activates. This means outdated nodes will lose the ability to communicate with the network.

The XRP Ledger version 3.1.3 launched on May 8 with one primary fix amendment included. Developers designed this update to maintain network consistency and operational alignment.

Ripple continues to track upgrade progress while urging remaining validators to act quickly. The network requires a broader adoption rate before the amendment activation window closes.
