A septuagenarian lawmaker says he's too sick too vote in Congress unless fellow Republicans really need him, according to a new report.

Rep. Neal Dunn (R-FL) says he is not physically well enough to make it to the Capitol, a source inside his office told Punchbowl News.

GOP rep tells leaders he plans to skip votes after terminal diagnosis

The 73-year-old lawmaker was diagnosed with a terminal illness and has not voted since June 11. Insiders told Punchbowl News he is in daily contact with GOP leadership.

Dunn has announced he won't seek reelection and intends to serve out the remainder of his current term.

During a press conference in March, President Donald Trump made offhand remarks about Dunn, casually stating the lawmaker had received a "terminal" diagnosis and would be "dead by June."

According to Punchbowl, Dunn hasn’t voted since June 11.
