Crypto Market Records Significant Upswing amid Sentiment Shift

The crypto sector has experienced a significant upsurge on Monday, led by a wider sentiment shift. In this respect, the total crypto market capitalization has reached $4.28T with a 1.68% increase over 24 hours. In addition to this, the 24-hour crypto volume has also jumped by 17.05%, reaching $198.78B. At the same time, the Crypto Fear & Greed Index has also entered the “Greed” territory while accounting for 62 points.

Bitcoin Sees Slight 0.89% Rise and Ethereum Surges by 4.64%

Particularly, Bitcoin ($BTC) has witnessed a 0.89% increase. As a result, its current price is $124,600.29, while its market dominance stands at 58.0%. Apart from that, Ethereum ($ETH) is now changing hands at $4,727.41, indicating a 4.64% upsurge. Additionally, the top altcoin’s market dominance currently accounts for 13.3%.

$HOOD, $TESLA, and $CAT Dominate Crypto Gainers

Concurrently, the top crypto gainers of the day include Robinhood ($HOOD), Tesla ($TESLA), and NOT ($CAT). Specifically, $HOOD has spiked by a staggering 702.85%, claiming the $0.009438 mark. Following that, $TSLA has gone through a 635.07%, reaching $77.17. Subsequently, $CAT is now trading at $0.0008011, after a 584.39% increase.

DeFi TVL Jumps by 2.65% and NFT Sales Volume Records 51.26% Increase

Similarly, the DeFi TVL has recorded a 2.65% growth, attaining the $173.2B spot. Additionally, the top DeFi project in terms of TVL, Aave, has seen a 2.35% increase, touching $45.774B. However, when it comes to 1-day TVL change, Capy Finance occupies the 1 place among the DeFi projects, accounting for a huge 1287% increase over twenty-four hours.

In the same vein, the NFT market has also gained a 51.26% rise in sales volume, claiming $31,279,174. Additionally, the top-selling NFT collection, CryptoPunks, has surged by 178.97%, reaching $3,213,085.

Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO.
