Bronson Reed def. Roman Reigns in Street Fight
Why it Was the Right Move
Reigns didn’t need to win. If WWE is serious about pushing Reed, as it appears they are, he needs to win these kinds of matches. It was pretty pedestrian by Street Fight standards, but it still served its purpose.
Usos and Reigns Moving Toward Separation
WWE has been teasing a break with the Usos and Reigns for weeks. With the Tribal Chief walking out on the Usos following his loss, which was precipitated by a mistaken spear from Jey, it appears we’ll see that story go to the next level next week.
Stephanie Vaquer def. Tiffany Stratton for Crown Jewel Championship
What the Result Means
WWE is all in for Vaquer.
Stratton is one of the promotion’s brightest young champions and a longer tenured titleholder. Still, WWE elected to have Vaquer go over. The match was strong but it appears Stratton might be headed for a dip or even dropping the title. That feels a little weird, but we’ll see. Meanwhile, Vaquer could be off to a compelling new feud.
John Cena def. AJ Styles
Here’s Why it Was a Masterpiece
With Cena retiring at the end of the year and Styles in 2026, this was the last time we’ll ever see these two in the ring together. They made sure it was special. In a match that played out like a tribute to pro wrestling, the fans were treated to 20 finishers from Cena, Styles and most of their top rivals.
You couldn’t have booked this match any better.
Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky def. The Kabuki Warriors
Here’s Why it Will Be Forgotten
The match wasn’t bad.
However, it had the unenviable task of following Cena and Styles’ show-stealing match. While Ripley and Sky going over was fine, most fans will talk about this one the least on Sunday and Monday.
Seth Rollins def. Cody Rhodes to Win Crown Jewel Championship
Here’s Why it Had to Happen
Rollins had to go over.
There’s no way he can be Seth “Freakin” Rollins and have an 0-4 record against Rhodes. Because of that, the result was predictable. That said, the two men put on an amazing match with some memorable spots. The real story is what happens with the Vison and what Rhodes does next.

Cena and Styles
These two legends just showed anyone who doesn’t understand what it means to be a icon in professional wrestling. Cena and Styles showed amazing acumen, stamina and honor in delivering an A-plus performance. They never left the ring one time. If you know, you know.
Rollins and Rhodes
It was pretty clear, Rollins had to go over, but the match spots really stood out. Particularly the Coast to Coast that may have injured Rollins’ shoulder and the Avalanche Cross Rhodes raised an eyebrow–in a good way.
At most events, this would have been the Match of the Night. With Cena and Styles putting on a show, it comes in an honorable second.
