Ondo Finance Launches 100+ Tokenized US Stocks on BNB Chain

TLDR

  • Ondo Global Markets has launched over 100 tokenized US stocks and ETFs on BNB Chain, giving 3.4 million daily users access to Wall Street assets
  • PancakeSwap will serve as the primary platform for trading these tokenized securities on BNB Chain
  • Ondo previously launched on Ethereum two months ago, securing $350 million in total value locked and $670 million in trading volume
  • The platform aims to provide blockchain-based access to US markets for investors in Asia and Latin America who lack traditional brokerage access
  • Ondo Finance has tokenized $1.8 billion in assets across its platform, with 28,370 holders of tokenized products

Ondo Global Markets has expanded its real-world asset tokenization platform to BNB Chain. The move gives millions of users access to over 100 tokenized US stocks and exchange-traded funds.

The integration connects BNB Chain’s 3.4 million daily active users to Wall Street through blockchain technology. PancakeSwap, the largest decentralized exchange on BNB Chain, will handle trading of these tokenized securities.

Ondo’s platform converts traditional financial products into blockchain-based assets. Users can trade these assets 24/7 with transparent settlement and custody processes.

The company focuses on serving non-US investors who cannot access Wall Street through traditional means. Target markets include countries in Asia and Latin America where brokerage account access remains limited.

Ondo Global Markets first launched on Ethereum in September 2025. The platform quickly accumulated $350 million in total value locked within two months.

Trading volume on Ethereum reached nearly $670 million since launch. This performance demonstrated demand for blockchain-based access to traditional securities.

Growth in Tokenized Assets

Ondo Finance has become a major player in real-world asset tokenization since July 2021. The platform now holds $1.8 billion in tokenized assets according to RWA.xyz data.

US Treasuries make up 80.78% of Ondo’s tokenized portfolio. Public equities account for 17.44% while stablecoins represent 1.78% of holdings.

The platform serves 28,370 holders of tokenized financial products. Total tokenized assets grew 4% over the past 30 days.

Strategic Partnerships and Expansion

Ondo Finance formed a partnership with World Liberty Financial in 2025. The collaboration explores using Ondo’s tokenized assets as treasury reserves within the WLFI network.

The company acquired US-regulated broker Oasis Pro in July 2025. Ondo also purchased blockchain developer Strangelove to strengthen technical infrastructure.

Nathan Allman, CEO of Ondo Finance, said BNB Chain hosts one of the largest global user bases in Web3. The expansion allows the platform to reach users across multiple regions in a cost-efficient environment.

The ONDO governance token trades at $0.74 with a market capitalization of $2.3 billion. The BNB Chain integration expands liquidity options for tokenized asset trading.

Aave DAO to Shut Down 50% of L2s While Doubling Down on GHO

Aave DAO to Shut Down 50% of L2s While Doubling Down on GHO

The post Aave DAO to Shut Down 50% of L2s While Doubling Down on GHO appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Aave DAO is gearing up for a significant overhaul by shutting down over 50% of underperforming L2 instances. It is also restructuring its governance framework and deploying over $100 million to boost GHO. This could be a pivotal moment that propels Aave back to the forefront of on-chain lending or sparks unprecedented controversy within the DeFi community. Sponsored Sponsored ACI Proposes Shutting Down 50% of L2s The “State of the Union” report by the Aave Chan Initiative (ACI) paints a candid picture. After a turbulent period in the DeFi market and internal challenges, Aave (AAVE) now leads in key metrics: TVL, revenue, market share, and borrowing volume. Aave’s annual revenue of $130 million surpasses the combined cash reserves of its competitors. Tokenomics improvements and the AAVE token buyback program have also contributed to the ecosystem’s growth. Aave global metrics. Source: Aave However, the ACI’s report also highlights several pain points. First, regarding the Layer-2 (L2) strategy. While Aave’s L2 strategy was once a key driver of success, it is no longer fit for purpose. Over half of Aave’s instances on L2s and alt-L1s are not economically viable. Based on year-to-date data, over 86.6% of Aave’s revenue comes from the mainnet, indicating that everything else is a side quest. On this basis, ACI proposes closing underperforming networks. The DAO should invest in key networks with significant differentiators. Second, ACI is pushing for a complete overhaul of the “friendly fork” framework, as most have been unimpressive regarding TVL and revenue. In some cases, attackers have exploited them to Aave’s detriment, as seen with Spark. Sponsored Sponsored “The friendly fork model had a good intention but bad execution where the DAO was too friendly towards these forks, allowing the DAO only little upside,” the report states. Third, the instance model, once a smart…
