If Cardano Beats Ethereum, Your 10K ADA Could Do This

TLDR

  • ADA recorded a 6.81 percent drop in the past week according to CoinMarketCap data.
  • Dogecoin followed with a 6.14 percent loss in the same period as the market declined.
  • ADA remains in the 10th spot among top cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.
  • At the current price of $0.6104, investors can buy 10,000 ADA for approximately $6,104.
  • The same purchase cost around $8,910 when ADA traded at $0.891 just weeks ago.

Cardano (ADA) continues to face pressure as the broader crypto market trends downward. ADA dropped 6.81% this week, data from CoinMarketCap shows.

Dogecoin followed closely with a 6.14% decline. ADA remains in 10th position in the crypto rankings for over a month.

Still, investors continue monitoring ADA’s performance closely. Many see its low price as a chance to accumulate more tokens.

ADA’s Price Drop Offers Lower Entry Point

ADA is currently trading at $0.6104, offering a lower entry price for new buyers. A purchase of 10,000 ADA now costs $6,104.

A few weeks ago, 10,000 ADA would have cost $8,910 when priced at $0.891. In December 2024, the same tokens cost $13,200.

This current price reflects a lower cost for the same amount of tokens. Some investors view this as a new opportunity.

The coin’s value has declined, but it still holds a place among the top 10 crypto assets by market capitalization.

Ethereum holds a market cap of $465.43 billion. Cardano’s current market cap is $21.89 billion, per CoinMarketCap data.

To surpass Ethereum, ADA must grow its market cap by 2,047%, reaching approximately $470 billion. That requires major valuation gains.

At the current circulating supply of 35.86 billion ADA, a $470 billion valuation implies a price of $13.1 per token.

A portfolio of 10,000 ADA would then be worth $131,000. This would return a gain of $124,896 from the current price.

That growth would represent a steep climb, but it reflects only a direct market cap comparison between the two coins.

Investors Evaluate ADA’s Future Worth

While ADA’s current price shows weakness, some traders see long-term potential. Analysts have projected optimistic future targets.

BasicTradingTv on TradingView forecasts ADA to hit $13. This matches earlier estimates from other projections comparing ADA and Ethereum.

Changelly also provided a forecast of ADA reaching $13 by the second half of 2032. That estimate is nearly seven years away.

Still, experts caution that Ethereum may also rise in value. This could keep ADA from overtaking ETH even at $13.

The valuation gap remains large. ADA must gain over 20 times in value to equal Ethereum’s current market cap.

Many retail buyers are increasing their ADA holdings at current levels. Lower prices are encouraging fresh accumulation.

At $0.6104, ADA offers entry for $6,104 per 10,000 tokens. This is lower than its value in recent months.

Although ADA remains in 10th place, it has stayed within the top 10 consistently. This shows ongoing investor interest in the project.

Market participants are watching ADA’s next moves. The potential reward continues to drive discussion around its long-term future.

CoinMarketCap lists ADA’s current market data and rankings. This information helps guide investor decisions in the volatile market.

Non-Opioid Painkillers Have Struggled–Cannabis Drugs Might Be The Solution

Non-Opioid Painkillers Have Struggled–Cannabis Drugs Might Be The Solution

The post Non-Opioid Painkillers Have Struggled–Cannabis Drugs Might Be The Solution appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. In this week’s edition of InnovationRx, we look at possible pain treatments from cannabis, risks of new vaccine restrictions, virtual clinical trials at the Mayo Clinic, GSK’s $30 billion U.S. manufacturing commitment, and more. To get it in your inbox, subscribe here. Despite their addictive nature, opioids continue to be a major treatment for pain due to a lack of effective alternatives. In an effort to boost new drugs, the FDA released new guidelines for non-opioid painkillers last week. But making these drugs hasn’t been easy. Vertex Pharmaceuticals received FDA approval for its non-opioid Journavx in January, then abandoned a next generation drug after a failed clinical trial earlier this summer. Acadia similarly abandoned a promising candidate after a failed trial in 2022. One possible basis for non-opioids might be cannabis. Earlier this year, researchers at Washington University at St. Louis and Stanford published a study showing that a cannabis-derived compound successfully eased pain in mice with minimal side effects. Munich-based pharmaceutical company Vertanical is perhaps the furthest along in this quest. It is developing a cannabinoid-based extract to treat chronic pain it hopes will soon become an approved medicine, first in the European Union and eventually in the United States. The drug, currently called Ver-01, packs enough low levels of cannabinoids (including THC) to relieve pain, but not so much that patients get high. Founder Clemens Fischer, a 50-year-old medical doctor and serial pharmaceutical and supplement entrepreneur, hopes it will become the first cannabis-based painkiller prescribed by physicians and covered by insurance. Fischer founded Vertanical, with his business partner Madlena Hohlefelder, in 2017, and has invested more than $250 million of his own money in it. With a cannabis cultivation site and drug manufacturing plant in Denmark, Vertanical has successfully passed phase III clinical trials in Germany and expects…

Edges higher ahead of BoC-Fed policy outcome

The post Edges higher ahead of BoC-Fed policy outcome appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. USD/CAD gains marginally to near 1.3760 ahead of monetary policy announcements by the Fed and the BoC. Both the Fed and the BoC are expected to lower interest rates. USD/CAD forms a Head and Shoulder chart pattern. The USD/CAD pair ticks up to near 1.3760 during the late European session on Wednesday. The Loonie pair gains marginally ahead of monetary policy outcomes by the Bank of Canada (BoC) and the Federal Reserve (Fed) during New York trading hours. Both the BoC and the Fed are expected to cut interest rates amid mounting labor market conditions in their respective economies. Inflationary pressures in the Canadian economy have cooled down, emerging as another reason behind the BoC’s dovish expectations. However, the Fed is expected to start the monetary-easing campaign despite the United States (US) inflation remaining higher. Investors will closely monitor press conferences from both Fed Chair Jerome Powell and BoC Governor Tiff Macklem to get cues about whether there will be more interest rate cuts in the remainder of the year. According to analysts from Barclays, the Fed’s latest median projections for interest rates are likely to call for three interest rate cuts by 2025. Ahead of the Fed’s monetary policy, the US Dollar Index (DXY), which tracks the Greenback’s value against six major currencies, holds onto Tuesday’s losses near 96.60. USD/CAD forms a Head and Shoulder chart pattern, which indicates a bearish reversal. The neckline of the above-mentioned chart pattern is plotted near 1.3715. The near-term trend of the pair remains bearish as it stays below the 20-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA), which trades around 1.3800. The 14-day Relative Strength Index (RSI) slides to near 40.00. A fresh bearish momentum would emerge if the RSI falls below that level. Going forward, the asset could slide towards the round level of…
