Top Quantum Computing Stocks To Buy In November

TLDR

  • IonQ shares have surged more than 600% over three years, establishing the company as the quantum computing sector leader by market cap
  • Third quarter 2025 revenue reached $40 million, representing 222% year-over-year growth that exceeded analyst forecasts
  • Research with AstraZeneca, Nvidia, and Amazon showed IonQ’s quantum systems can reduce drug development timelines from months to days
  • Rigetti Computing stock rose 156% in 2025 while D-Wave Quantum gained 293% as quantum computing gains investor interest
  • McKinsey projects the quantum computing market could grow to $1 trillion by 2035

IonQ has positioned itself as the leading publicly traded quantum computing company after delivering exceptional stock performance. Shares have climbed more than 600% over the past three years. The company now holds the largest market capitalization among pure-play quantum computing firms.

The Maryland-based technology company reported $40 million in revenue during the third quarter of 2025. This marked a 222% increase from the same quarter in 2024. The results surpassed Wall Street estimates and demonstrated growing commercial interest in quantum technology.

IonQ competes with other public quantum computing companies including Rigetti Computing and D-Wave Quantum. Both competitors have also seen substantial stock gains in 2025. Rigetti shares rose 156% while D-Wave climbed 293% through November.

Quantum Computing Applications and Partnerships

IonQ has secured partnerships with major technology and pharmaceutical companies. The company works with AstraZeneca, Nvidia, and Amazon on quantum computing research projects. These collaborations help validate the commercial potential of quantum technology.

Research conducted earlier in 2025 demonstrated practical applications for quantum systems. The partnership with AstraZeneca showed quantum computers could accelerate drug development processes by a factor of 20. Work that typically requires months could be completed in days using quantum technology.

Quantum computers process information using qubits rather than traditional binary bits. Qubits can exist in multiple states simultaneously, enabling faster processing for specific types of complex calculations. The technology excels at solving optimization problems and running certain scientific simulations.

IonQ management has set a target of scaling quantum systems to 80,000 logical qubits by 2030. This roadmap aims to maintain the company’s competitive advantage in processing capabilities. The company has invested over 30 years in developing quantum computing technology.

Competitor Performance and Market Outlook

Rigetti Computing operates a chip fabrication facility in Fremont, California. This vertical integration approach gives the company direct control over its supply chain. Rigetti received an $8.6 million grant from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency in 2020.

D-Wave Quantum focuses on quantum annealing technology designed for optimization applications. The company reported second quarter revenue of $3.1 million, up 42% year over year. D-Wave has begun selling quantum annealing devices to research institutions.

Both Rigetti and D-Wave currently operate at a loss as they invest heavily in research and development. D-Wave posted operating losses of $26.5 million in its most recent quarterly report. The path to profitability remains uncertain for quantum computing companies.

Industry analysts expect quantum computing to reach commercial viability within the next five to ten years. Alphabet’s Google estimates viable commercial applications could emerge within five years. However, widespread mainstream adoption may take several additional decades.

McKinsey forecasts the quantum computing market could reach $1 trillion in value by 2035. Government agencies view quantum technology as strategically important for national security and economic competitiveness. This has led to increased public sector investment in quantum research.

All three quantum computing stocks trade at high price-to-sales multiples reflecting future growth expectations. Rigetti trades at approximately 1,110 times sales while D-Wave trades at 335 times sales. These valuations indicate significant investor optimism about long-term potential.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…
